Yeah. Originally, Varan the Unbelievable was supposed to be a TV movie, but after the studio that would allowed it went under, they rushed the film (and added stock footage of the OG Godzilla) and it became a Japanese theatrical release.

@@YourLocalGummiBearsFanmonster of monsters is a great game as in unleashed. 2 of the few I owned. Many others know the creepy pasta version.

I fucking hate those Copyright people doing that to your videos

Toho mostly does that with their underrated movies. I once tried to fix the speed of Godzilla vs Angurius in Raids Again and Toho blocked it instantly even when I gave them credit.

I agree, the U.S version does have a lot to appreciate... Unfortunately, as you could tell, the copy I got was terrible quality, there was no DVD menu. Most films on DVD disks have a file name that matches the film, this one did not. And of course the sound and picture were downright terrible, nearly unwatchable in certain parts of the film. I think this version of the film will remain in the hellish state it's in, much like Godzilla 1985, since both versions of those films have terrible reputations. I'm glad Godzilla King of the Monsters (1956) at least had a good reputation for it's first 50 years, otherwise it probably would have received the same treatment. Deoldify does not let you choose the colors, but it does let you choose a rendering sort of scale that determines how good the color may come out. Each rendering cycle took around 2 - 3 hours, and I tried many, many times to get this film to look it's best, but as I pointed out in the description, the footage I was using wasn't all that good, and Deoldify can only do so much. I did also edit this a bunch in my editing software, the title being the most clear example. I added in the green for two reasons: One was to help separate it from my last two colorization's, were the title's were red and orange. The other reason was because the base before I edited it looked terrible, so I figured it was best to tweak it a bit to make it a bit more presentable. I figured that some people wouldn't like the green, but it felt like the best match as I did test other colors like blue, purple, brown, and of course red. Sorry that it looks so bleh.... I hope the rest of the video (what was left after all the copyright claims) was at least appealing. Thank you for your comment :)

Unfortunately no. These videos are already in an awkward limbo when it comes to copyright and fair use, but if I were to distribute a whole film, which would be debatably transformative to the copyrighted material, thus falling under fair use, I'd definitely still draw the wrath of the studios who own these films. It's a pretty big bummer, but I still am able to make these video's, which as is with all their titles, are Showcases on what a potential colorized version of each film could look like. Trust me when I say, I do wish I could, because I'd happily colorize a whole film, no matter how long or difficult it would be.

Sorry for the late reply, but I'd have to say no. When I installed the nessasary apps and programs I needed to use to get Deoldify to work, there were no tutorials. I wish I could make one for those who wish to use it, but it's been already some time since then, and I've largely forgotten some of the steps. I do know this though, you need: Python 3.0, jypter notebook, and visuals c++. There may be things I'm missing, but there are some of what you need. I ask that you don't brick your computer trying to get these to work, like I almost did.
