Thank you for your comment. What you described is a rotating swash plate type of pump. This is a HYDRAULIC PUMP OR MOTORS OF THE ROTATING BARREL-TYPE. Pistons pushed against swash plate by internal springs and they DO rotate.
It doesn't have to. Since there is no pumping action, there will be no overload on the electric motor. If this unit is used in hydraulic transmission circuit, you may be changing rotation direction of the motion very often and in this case rotation should not stop.
The operator changes the angle of the swash plate to control the volume (and direction) of the liquid being pumped without changing pump shaft speed or direction.
If you just want to control the amount of flow going to a hydraulic motor by using variable displacement piston pump than there is no need for the reversing of the swash plate. In this case you just control the speed of the hydraulic motor in one direction. However if you want to control the speed of a hydraulic motor in both direction then swash plate should be reversed so that flow goes in both direction. I hope someone more experienced in this subject might clarify my comment further.
Thank you for visiting my channel. I do not know any web site that explains this pump. I did a Google search and I end up getting a lot of company web site for this hydraulic pumps without any explanation.
In rotating machines the torque and angular velocity are not independent. The product of torque times angular velocity is equal to the HP. For the hydraulic motor the relationship is given with the formula HP = T × n / 63025. As you can see, if rpm goes up, torque goes down or vice versa.
Thanks man, i just wanted to ask you if all variable displacement pumps have reversible swash plate like in your animation ?? because in the manuals it is not clear if the swash plate reverses.
nice try but the pistons on the swash plate doesnt have a rotary motion ,they move up and down on the plate. And the swash plate plate has too components .one that rotates and one fixed ,the pistons or plungers are mounted on the fixed part.
i do the repairing of the proportional valves servo pumps piston pumps like ASE, ASR VSO , Series and do the repairing of the injection moulding machine we old one to new one retro fitting also we do
I was planning to do pressure compensated pump animation. Your comment helped me to finish it. I just uploaded a video. Please check it out and let me know what you think.
