No no I in fact disagree. As somebody who only watched for him I took it very seriously. His emotions were very real and he had every right to feel the way he did, he just ended up taking it to far because he never learned to properly regulate his emotions as most 14 year olds also don’t know how to do. What I didn’t take seriously was how Repunzal and the king were treating him like a monster when in reality he was incredibly desperate and losing his sanity with very conflicting emotions. I also don’t take seriously the fact they sent him to prison despite the king directly saying he doesn’t like to send kids to prison. Finally the last thing that cannot be taken seriously is the fact the townspeople learned the king was lying to them and possibly endangering them with these lies via Varian but we’re still incredibly willing to go down and fight him without any questioning of the king just because the king made a speech.

it was most likely an animation error since he gets it back in the final scene, but still weird 🤔

No I think its the angle of where he’s standing and also the lighting of the place is super dark and his streak is a little darker teal.

In my head-canon it disappeared cause of the moonstone and sun-drop going to space but he did not notice at first but when he did he colored it blue hopeing no one noticed. (Just my opinion)
