"Variations on a Korean Folk Song" by John Barnes Chance 

I played the solo in my high school band. I also had to play the French horn solo because we didn't have one, and yes the solo is beautiful.

@@Kat-xc8sb we had an amazing band director. If you Couldn’t hack it, You played it for a grade. Also this was the wind ensemble Of the middle school so we We’re the better Players.

Definitely very late but fr though, I could listen to this part forever and not get tired of it, definitely my favorite part when my class played it

I still remember getting to play the horn duet with the flute around 3:30

Those 16th note runs though I mean I’ve got it easy with the trumpet part but I feel bad for the woodwinds

Was the concert by any chance in Midland because I remember one of the Middle Schools playing the song.

seventh grade😭 damn ut must've been pretty hard for some lol (i played it in my seinor year of high school last year)

@shilohclark3577 It was I vividly remember the trumpets constantly being reminded about the part (transition for variation one to two) (also nice, it's fun seeing more people play this piece)

incantation and dance is my favorite!!! we played it one year in band as a halloween piece and it was sooo much fun

We played this and Incantation and Dance in high school. I played flute and I don’t think we (the flute section) had a decent run through one time with Incantation and then the concert came and oh the dread. We nailed it on the night. Somehow! I have both pieces on my phone.

Omg my band is playing that piece along with this one

i played this in middle school in a big auditorium as part of the clarinets and someone messed up the second note lol

@@owouwu9891 it was not pretty, especially because we had lots of intonation issues in the woodwinds, thank god for strong bass lines and brass.

Here's what the maker says about the head-shaped microphone on their website: The KU 100 Dummy Head is a replica of the human head with a microphone built into each ear. When the recorded audio signal is reproduced through high-quality headphones, the listener perceives a sound image almost identical to the one they would have heard at the recording location of the Dummy Head (head-related stereophony). When played back through loudspeakers, the sound matches to a high degree that of conventional stereo microphones, placed in the same position. However, a superior quality is added, that of a distinct spatial depth perception.

Because this is their Air Force-y stuff, the people in military bands do this for their service
