All adorable and comical in their different ways. Thank you for including the timeline with what the different frogs and toads are. Are the black or dark colored things on the bottom of the Budgett's frog for digging? It looked like it slid on the table.

YES! Those are actually present on many semi terrestrial species of frogs including Pac-Man frogs, they’re used by the Budgetts to move around the thick mud and sludge.

@@sonsofisstvan1675 We have spadefoot toads (I think they're toads) around here, but there was a huge toad with a deformity similar to one of those. It was just on one foot, and seemed to hurt the toad to walk on. Not familiar with Budgett's. They are an odd-looking squishy beast. We mainly have green tree frogs and boreal toads around here. The little digger things always feel really creepy to me when I pick them up...

The black things on their rear foot might exist for digging and swimming. The black things are hard, like a guitar pick. The Budgett's frog lives in a shallow water tank.

Common rain frog and Budgett's frog are special. Other frogs are fine in a normal environment, keeping warm temperatures and humidity.
