Hi! The upper shelf is 9.5" deep. The middle part can be arranged up so that it is level all the way across. Hope that helps!

Hi, I’ve recently purchased this desk too. Just wanted to know how you fitted the silver rod under the desk? I feel it’s unclear on the instruction manual. Any sort of help would be appreciated.

You need to loosen all the little tiny allen wrench screws along the rod and that will extend it to fit the right length, then retighten them down. Hope this helps or you've already figured it out.

@@PeaceofMindReviews hi so I took out all those little screws on the rod, which then allowed me to extend the rod. I then fitted it on both sides when extended. Then I screwed those small screws back on. However I couldn’t do all of them as they would’ve gone into the rod. Is that right.

@@ta647 Yes, you want to screw all those screws down as much as possible. They are meant to tighten against the rod to hold it in place. 👍
