Exactly why I watch this fight. The footwork is phenomenal. Surprisingly more Ortiz for me than Lomachenko. Loma didn't use the steps he usually does to get behind the opponent and he didn't keep his jab up to blind Ortiz. I wonder why? Maybe thought it wouldn't work? They are very familiar with each other.
Everybody in the comments talking about loma but not giving props to Ortiz. He was the underdog and honestly the fight was a tie. He can give, shakur, tank, teo, and everybody problems.
Lomachenko is such a hard fighter to beat because of his mentality. He always goes into the fight being the smaller guy and a lot of fighters think they have that psychological edge, until they get hit with one of his punches and until he frustrates you with his angles. I was very impressed with Jermaine after rewatching this fight again and I think Jermaine can give a lot of cats at 135 or 140 a real run for their money. He’s not a household name so people will probably scoff at that, but Jermaine is the goods. Watch out!
Lomachenko is too small for 135. And is 35 years old. Haney is has the size and length and skills to nullify lomachenko. I would love for lomachenko to prove me wrong but I would imagine him being a substantial underdog. Neither guy has fought someone like e as another but I’m a fight like this you have to take the younger guy who has great skill and size as well.
100 percent. I noticed this when I watched him against Loma. His speed and work rate were impressive. He was also lomas sparing partner and fought many rounds with Loma. Ortiz had experience fighting Loma. Haney just has a plan.
@@muggamillstv3439 based on watching them fight... Go watch the Ortiz vs Loma fight, then go watch the Haney vs Kambosos 2 fight. Loma vs Ortiz is LEVELS above Haney and Kambozo. Those are two competely different levels of fights, with Ortiz vs Loma being some high level boxing.
@@yoskiUCy_TfipEEJ9f ya, it's a fight I'd like to see but imo Ortiz looks bigger than Haney in ring. Either way, I was 100 percent convinced Loma beat Haney and now an AI program designed specifically to count landed punches in boxing matches came out and was used for the first time for a live fight on Usyk vs Fury, but they ran the footage of Loma vs Haney through it and it said Loma outlanded Devin by 70+ punches lmao... I knew my eyes weren't lying to me and judges scores/compubox were BS - which always seems to be the case in these high level big fight robberies, magically the compubox controller always seems to have an off night counting shots when a robbery is coming. What a "coincidence"... I'm just glad we have something totally unbiased counting punches now and fact checking the compubox bozos
exactly, people are either blind and think every punch landed clean or just value agression too much. Loma dominated Lopez second half of the fight with clean effective shots, while Lopez landed maybe 3 body shots on the first half of the fight and 50 shots to the gloves
@@sr2340 Agreed. Haney is way over rated. i`ve just put £20 on loma to beat haney, and another £20 on a ten round knockout. Nice to meet a fan that knows his boxing.
@@laurencemoore8519 For sure bro. Ortiz if he catches Shakur it would end too. Ortiz has power. Haney and Shakur don't. Haney has been able to get this far on his reach/height/ and his hugging capability. Ortiz and him are about the same size, he would beat Haney. I will think this until it actually happens which I doubt it will because once Loma beats Haney, Haney's career is going to take a nosedive.
@@sr2340 the hype around Haney amazes me, hes good at best but a great? What have people been smoking to say that, and if does that to your thought process can i have some. People are comparing him to Mayweather? How? Unless of course they mean his mothers boxing ability. Ortiz impressed me and Im surprised he`s of the radar. I cant wait for the loma fight, i have a feeling he ill show just how good he is and finally make the haters eat their words.
Agreed, i understand some who say he’s allegedly “downloading” information from his opponents. But why not put in work while doing so to win some early rounds. And once he gets the “data” needed, then execute at will. Then again, perhaps, easier said than done since we’re not the ones in the ring.
Seems like other Eastern Bloc countries do this as well. It drove Emmanuel Steward crazy when he first got with Klitschko bc they did 5 min rounds, but with very little activity. Emmanuel stopped that immediately bc he didn't see the point in extending the round when you're not being active. Sugar Hill said GGG trained this way too.
Loma has an excuse to wait a little : he now only fight real bigger men who will end up 2 or 3 weights abive, when he comes from way below... So if he rushes too early, he takes early punishment, before the opponent slows a little and begin to respect his timing... But for the 12 rounds era and at his age, it isn't enough anymore, i guess. I suppose with 15, he would really emphasize his late rally. Here, that 's a draw or a 1 point victory either way, not more. But looking at Ortiz face, or Lopez before that, i guess that 15 would be too much, against his brainiac IQ and his pitbull mentality. Soon the end of his road, but what a sweet rocket scientist... Kambosos could be easier than the last two. But what then? Ortiz could well be world champion soon. Yet, maybe not against Lopez, tonight! Depends on who he'll be fighting, Doctor Lopez or Mister Théo! 🥊😜
For starters instead of discrediting Loma let's give credit to Ortiz for having the speed, aggressiveness and work rate as well as ring IQ to give lomanchenko a challenge. I personally don't see Haney being aggressive or pressing the action like Ortiz did.
Ortiz is a good fighter but he's at least ten levels below guys like Haney, tank and Shakur. The top of the top dominate Loma. I'm not even sure Loma beats a Ryan Garcia or rollie Romero
@@matthewanthony4606 Ahh! we will soon see! Loma is on another level. I think he own Haney and Shakur has holes to exploit... young man is to emotional. he will loose his concentration when the kitchen get hot enough.
Okay watching this fight now, Loma didn’t seem nearly as bad watching it again as he did in person. A few things. Haney doesn’t have the same style as Ortiz. He will need to push forward and be willing to be physical with Loma. He can’t rely on his reach alone if he wants to beat Loma. He needs to be willing to take risks. Ortiz was willing to take risks. I don’t see Haney willing to do the same.
100% agree.. You can combine Haney and Shakur and they won't be nowhere as offensive as Ortiz.. Ortiz is extremely underrated and was one of Lomas toughest fights for sure
@@vicc5459 Haney is definitely not going to bring the fight to Loma the way Ortiz did.. But yea Haney has a jab but the aggressive offense is not there.. Will be a great fight nonetheless
Haney will fight like he did against Kambosos, jab and hug. FFS, he pretty much did that all night. The weight bully has nothing in his arsenal against Loma. Loma takes the cake this may 20th to reclaim his titles.
I've learned over the years of watching fights, games whatever sport it maybe, it's always best to watch with the volume off.u would be surprised how much of an effect the commentary can have on how you see the fight. First time I watched it with no sound at first and then now with sound and Ortiz didn't land half the stuff they were highlighting lol
Spot on, they tried to convince everyone that the fight was closer than it was by highlighting the younger undefeated fighter. Same with the Lopez fight
Gotta give Loma credit. He's daring to be great and also fighting young kongs. Teofimo Lopez, Jamaine Ortiz and now Devin Haney for undisputed. Nuff respect CAMACHO!!!🥊🥊🥊🔥🔥🔥🔥
On eye test it although I’m sure there was some rust it wasn’t about Loma looking bad, Ortiz just looked dammed good. Throw your agendas out the window and give this man props. He was fighting a hell of a fight
Anyone who thinks Dev will walk through Loma cuz of this fight, has no idea about boxing at all, Dev does not fight with this kinda volume like what so ever, he’s a single shot guy who’s very defensively minded, yes Dev may win its definitely 50-50, but I strongly see Loma giving hella problems to Haney, and has a strong shot at winning, and if he does I really wouldn’t consider it a huge upset.
Long Live "The Great Vasil Lomachenko",,His Work-out Regimen lifting Weights/Mental exercises/Breathing exercises under Water/,, Loma Knows Every Millimeter of An Inch of that Squared Circle... He is Truly Amazing...
Reminds me of the PAC fight where he landed a lot of punches on the arms and shoulders of Mayweather so ppl thought he won. 😂 but I will say he showed up and showed out tho. I like this kid
Lomachenko beated an incredible fighter. That Ortiz is has everything to be a champion. What a great fighter. But Loma's tech and exprience were superior
very good Fight, was well impressed with Jermaine Ortiz, very close Fight & tbh there wasn't that many points in it 117/111 & 116/112 115/113 was more like it but there was a few Swing Rounds, he's got a decent future has Ortiz.
got 7-5 loma. if ortiz didn't gas out in later rounds he could have won. still think ortiz is very underrated and beats kambosos and 50/50 with haney fight
A esos jueces de boxeo hay que eliminarlos. completamente alejados de la realidad. Sres. jueces respeten al boxeador que hace tanto sacrificio para pelear. Y salgan uds. con decisiones absurdas, por favor....
Loma doesn't really like to KO people. If it comes it comes, other than that he always respects who he goes in there against. Look how he backs off with Commey and lets Commey finish the fight.
Loma’s preparation for Haney was this beast. Haney’s preparation for Loma was Kambosos 😅😅😅😅 Man, Haney will be exposed worse than Lacy did vs Calzaghe, Joshua vs Usyk and Wilder vs Fury. He will get beat badly before he’s KO’d cold.
I watching this fight afer a couple of months. And what I noticed that Ortiz had been in absolutely crazy shape that time. He was confident and very active during all the fight. Honestly i don't think Haney can do the same things in the ring as Ortiz did with Loma. From what i saw after many Haney's fights, that he's slow and move not that fast like Ortiz did it. Maybe, Jamaine was more difficult test for Lom that Haney suppose to be
@@davidguardado8282 we'll see, I'm sure Haney will bring all his best for Loma, but once again it's not likely that he can bring more problems to loma than Ortiz
BUENA ACTITUD MUCHACHO DIOS TE BENDIGA LOMA!!!!!!!
Those comentators ,Loma landing 4 combinations (talking some other shitt)Ortiz landing Shot in Loma Gloves -very good Shot from Ortiz. Loma Always get disrespect from Them
I don’t think it was unanimous more like a majority decision. Loma has to be better than that against Haney. He has good defense but his age worries me. Loma has defense that Haney may not have seen before. But if Haney can ruff up Loma then he may possibly win. I think the way to beat Loma is rough him up and be aggressive

Ortiz did great but got credit for way too many blocked punches or like the hook the landed wrist 1st on Loma causing his black eye a lot of his punches werent landing clean. lomas were.,.
Never saw Loma give him that belt before. I was of an opinion, having watched the fight several times, that Lomachenko had more effective punches and was just harder to hit than Ortiz, and that Lomachenko won. But seeing him give Ortiz that belt afterwards....
Well, I watched the fight and yeah that woman is clueless! But still i can't see how people think Ortiz won this fight, I didnt see him land a single power punch to rock Loma once, he definitely made him work hard to hit him, but ultimately Ortiz could not land the big shots. Loma landed plenty. Also Ortiz was letting his guard down- literally as you will notice and at least twice Loma timed him beautifully and hit him hard and fast with a combination. Ortiz is a great young boxer, he'll be back and better next time. Great fight.
I know how Loma can get the knockout power!... Train arm wrestling with Devon laratt Shoulder and pull excerpts would obviously shine with his body type.
Rewatch it slower playback speed if you think Ortiz was landing those speedy combinations you’re delusional even that jab was hitting nothing but glove lol
