Friday 23 April, Vattenfall's President and CEO, Anna Borg, was invited by U.S. President Biden to speak at the White House Leaders Summit on Climate.
Anna participated in the session “The innovation agenda to build tomorrow’s clean industries”. She explained how Vattenfall, together with partners and customers across Europe, is working to phase out fossil fuels. In particular she highlighted how electrification will change industrial sectors, such as through the world's first fossil free steel project, 'HYBRIT', which is a partnership between SSAB, LKAB and Vattenfall.

@@T1hitsTheHighestNote Det vore på plats att diskutera, man kan inte ena perioden styras av vänsterextremister och nästkommande fyra år styras av en annan regering med diametral inriktning. Varken landet eller Vattenfall mår bra av detta. Nuvarande regering visar inkompetensen sitt tryne. Den här VD'n ger inget annat än ett pajasintryck. Energipolitiken måste vara långsiktig, nuvarande regering tar horribla beslut, men även vattenfalls ledning verkar inte ha någon ryggrad heller.

The Hybrit project is really intelligent use of resources and will drastically reduce CO2 emissions in Sweden and the rest of the world when the technology is being exported. A lot of exciting mega projects are currently taking place in the North of Sweden; Northvolt gigafactory for green batteries being another one.

@@isakjohansson7134 What have you been smoking? I’m not employed by this company, this is not the first comment I’ve made and you don’t need to burn coal and oil to produce hydrogen. I don’t know what’s going on in your life but getting it out in RU-vid comments sections won’t help, unless you’re paid by a trolling factory. Väx upp!

@@myntverketguld7596 yesterday it said that you had one comment and your account is roughly a month old besides, we dont have and wont have enough renewable energy sources to make hydrogen with. And since you (the government that owns you) dont want to use nuclear power you'll have to use oil or coal power imported from germany or something to use for the electrolysis by which point using coal directly is just a better option
