Vaughan Williams: Kyrie-Responses to Decalogue "Communion Service in G minor"

The Ten Commandments with Kyrie-Responses, is a feature of traditional BCP Communion Office, which was inspired by then continental Reformed practices, and developed from Trooped Kyries of medieval Sarum Rite. The rubric directs people to kneel and plea God's mercy while rehearsing the decalogue, therefore, it serves as the first general confession at the beginning of the liturgy of catechumen, as well as a set old testament reading.
