Animal Pens are hefty addition, and I would even love seeing it as separate mod to use in other modpacks. Black Market is looking really cool with being able to see offers without neccesity to enter GUI and immediate rerolling after purchase. Less waiting - more fun! Great job, Vault Hunters development team, you rock!

Could your team maybe move the animal pens to their own mod? I feel like so many modpacks would be benefitted by the addition of the pens, but doubt they'd want the rest of the features of the vault in their pack. Edit: I also feel that there should be limited automation that would be able to be performed on an actual pen. For example, a dispenser with shears used on the block would either shear the sheep or cause honey comb to pop out of the bee pen, and a hopper underneath would pick up chicken eggs just like it would in a real pen.

Never think that it’s the peak with this guy, one episode will be godlike, and then BAM, even better episode a day or two later.

It brings me so much joy how people like you and your development team can create such an amazing modpack but also crank out new features and fix bugs from community feedback so quickly! Loved the video too!

Not sure why you were so worried, great video and even better update. Vault hunters is by FAR the nest mod pack I have ever played. I am crazy addicted to it and having tons of fun. So much of Minecraft finally has meaning now. Thanks to you and all your team for this one!

Love the Update! How about a Bowl instead of a bucket to get eggs from chickens, makes more sense, never heard of using buckets for eggs before

I actually liked the idea of the altar asking for specific obscure items. Its less fun to judt drop in white wool when it previously would ask for lime wool.

Thank you. LOVE the updates. But even more, am going to really love and appreciate the patch update videos! SO much easier than scrubbing through videos and vods for that one little piece I missed. (Saw the animal jar with the pigs, and then spent quite a bit of time looking how to use it and make it, because I missed that it was in the update, duh).

Explaining the patch notes in a video and explaining it makes it more understandable. Love the modpack, and if you do this weekly, I can explain it to my friends who don't follow you on RU-vid. Keep going, and we respect the process 😄

Such a helpful video! This is a great idea for each update/patch!

Idea! In the vanilla crafting table, place a slot (or two) off to the side. When you put items in for crafting, but before you remove the finished product, you can place a piece of paper in the extra slot and it gets turned into a blueprint, recording the recipe you just were making. You then make an Auto-Crafting Table (uses a crafting table, vault stone, and whatever vault gems) and place the blueprint in the auto-crafting table. Then add hoppers or what have you and you can automate crafting. It'd be expensive enough not to just spam like crazy early on, but would allow you to autocraft early game, until you unlock the better instant crafting in the better storage mod (or wherever it is). It'd be useful to hook up to an autosmelter setup to automate making torches, so as long as you supply wood to the system, it will make a steady supply of torches for you.

Well done on the update video. Considering I don't have the means to play vault hunters and yet I still feel like I properly understand every change and added feature, presented in this video, you did a solid job here. Also props to the whole dev team for somehow managing to make such a significant update in just one week. I find it particularly interesting to see this as a point of comparison with the vanilla Minecraft snapshots. It's weird how a team of much bigger size seems to be working so much slower. Anyways, you are doing a great job. Keep it up (but don't overwork yourselves).

Thanks for the update Iskallman! I've been trying out Vault Hunters the last 2 weeks, and with some ups and down it's generally been a blast. Only hiccups I encountered so far as a new player is: - Prioritizing what items to pickup in a vault, it's overwhelming and I had to go to RU-vid to find some guides. - All the ores in the overworld are overwhelming. At first I mined them all up, not knowing if they are important (could you make an episode and a brief review of the overworld ores, and what is worth mining?) - First vault was an ice vault with a lot of archers spawning and no fizzle spawners. Bit overwhelming for a first vault? I died within 5 minutes - Barely any diorite in the world due to some mod that disabled random occuring pockets, had to travel 2000 blocks for some diorite (after crafting that compass) for my first crystal - Slime spawning seems to be very low. Took me a week to find a slime for the second crystal recipe after camping a swamp (enabled slime chunks on the minimap, dug out a major area underground and finally one spawned) What I've been loving the most is: - What a breeze it is to set up villager trading - New cosmetic blocks, made a very cool base with them! - Finding big villages/cities and meteorites (they have cool purple blocks inside!) - The diversity of the biomes. - Your series! They are very entertaining and help a lot as a guidance :)

Hmm, ideas. (I haven't looked at the actual changelog, so I might be missing pieces of info) You should get the animal jar back when you put the animals in the pen, not when you kill all the animals in the pen. You are storing the animals in the pen and not the jar, after all. The vaultar sometimes asks for an item group and sometimes for an item in the group so that looing for red sand and stuff is still important.

This style of update video is great! You did an excellent job of covering each thing that updates, the only thing I could maybe see to improve would be using RU-vid's system of marking sections of the video like X does in his snapshot updates. Makes scrubbing back through the video for specifics a lot easier, not sure how much work that would add for uploading though.

Something about a animal not being able to fit in a jar not because it's larger but because it's smaller is hysterical I love it

i love this video idea! getting me more excited for vault hunters stuff, keep it going! as for the mod changes, love the animal pens and jars excellent idea! i made a 40+ bee auto farm a few days ago because the vaultar asked for 124 honeycombs one time and didn't want to be without honeycombs again, so this should help cut down on server lag quite a bit! (will also be nice for having turtles on hand considering all the times my vaultar wants turtle eggs.....) the soul shard overhaul seems really cool too! excited for the changes on all that! I think some of my only issues in the pack right now are things like when mobs spawn in and immediately hit you or immediately explode before you can react? makes it a bit unfun when you have moments where the spawners spawn mobs before you can break the spawner and you have to be close enough to break the spawner that mobs spawn right next to you and they get an immediate free hit or worse case a creeper explodes in a fraction of a second so you never get a chance to avoid it and just immediately die. I can kinda mitigate it now, but still annoying and very annoying for new vault hunters to have that kind of experience.

These updates just keep getting better and better! I'd love to see more decoration mods added to the pack such as chipped. Another potential change would be allowing the decorational blocks from create to be crafted without researching create

In the future, can armor pieces get their own, unique modifiers when modifying and identifying (maybe as legendary modifiers!)? Ideas for modifiers could include "all terrain" for boots, a modifier that would make the user unaffected by powdered snow, magma blocks, soul sand, and ice. "Fleet" for leggings, a modifier that gives you a temporary speed boost when you take damage. "foresight" for helmets, a modifier that decreases the zoom of the mini map in the vault to allow you to see a little further into the next rooms. "Enhance Ability: Dash" for chest plates, a modifier that gives the player +1 (or more) level to the corresponding skill while wearing the armor. These are just ideas but I believe they feel Vault Hunters-y and would be very exciting to acquire on armor and make the different armors stand out from each other functionally!
