'Vault of Horror' (1973) is another excellent Amicus Productions movie anthology (or portmanteau) and aside from recommending it for a fun time, I also suggest seeing: - 'Dr. Terror's House of Horrors' (1965) - 'Torture Garden' (1967) - 'The House That Dripped Blood' (1971) - 'Tales from the Crypt' (1972) - 'Asylum' (1972) - 'From Beyond the Grave' (1974) They're all excellent and have a fantastic cast as always.
I love our theme song! I feel so disappointed if I tune in too late to hear it. So Zetro is the man behind it! And I always thought it was Vin van D.!😮
I'm from Northern California too. We all live in an awsome part of this country. Our family sits down together on your premier nights and enjoy our fridays and saturdays watching your show. Thanks for what you do for us
Definitely wont cause this 1 looks like a goodie plus I talk thru movies anyways 🤣. The live chat just gives me an outlet for that. Which has had great numbers lately I hope it continues to after all this crappy weather in the states disappears
@@Nebraska93 definitely. That leaves only Tom Baker now as the last remaining main cast member who is still alive. He’s going to be ninety in a few days!
Thanks for showing this largely unknown film, Vincent. Not the greatest film ever made, but not the worst. My interest in the movie is due to the presence of Glynis Johns in the film. One of my favorite actresses ever. Adept at playing slightly quirky characters, she stands out in every scene she is in. Sadly, she passed away on January 4th, 2024 at 100 + years. Born in Pretoria, South Africa in October 1923, she passed away of natural causes a few weeks ago. A marvelous actress, who left a long list of memorable performances.
Greetings once again from the UK-England.....Still one of my faves of all time of the multiple story Horror films,Amicus certainly gave Hammer a run for its money with gems such as this.I have this film on dvd, have had it for years but out of respect to the wonderful Creature Features channel,I shall be viewing it....A quick heads up to all our American friends, the manner, quirks, behaviour of Terry Thomas-one of our national treasures-is NOT how all English men act.😁
Hey there. I'm so glad that you all air these good old movies for everyone! It s hard to find some of them. Thanks for unearthing them for us to enjoy!!!!
This was one of my favorite episode's. I've been a big fan of Exodus from day one, but I loved this movie too. Also did not know Steve Zetro is a pug Dad. I am too, unfortunately I am grief stricken as today is the day we send my Golden boy/pug to paradise!! I woke up in the middle of the night with my Brisco beside me, and I started having a panic attack. Watching your show with my Brisco beside me really helped me just calm down and relax!! Thank you guys so much. We love your show. You should have more musicians on!!😢😢
Howdy from The LoneStar 👋🤠….. Creature Features is becoming my “escape” from the REAL world which is TOO frightening as of late!!! Thx u and I pray success/peace for all of you👍😎
Love this one. Been looking for it since the dawn of Laserdisc! Awesome performance by Tom Baker. Why do all the best Doctor Who's make good villains? Thank you for the viewing anyway! ❤️😎❤️
Tom will always be my favorite Doctor. I've been crazy about him since the early 80s when it was on PBS weekend mornings. I had a framed photo of him when I was a teenager and all my friends thought it was weird AF. LoL
I love creature features! My adopted sister and I used to watch it while my adopted dad would take my witch of a adopted mom out on Friday after he'd get done working at inland Steele ( up in Indiana) I really wish I could find my sister and dad.
I dont usually bother as I have most of these on video tape as a massive video collector....However I've started having you on while I work (as a sculptor) and your little ditties are funny. Great Amicus stuff. And yesterday was Tom Bakers birthday too.. Happy Birthday Dr...have a jelly baby on me...
This is a great horror anthology movie also known as an omnibus film or portmanteau film (pronounced "pore-mon-toe") by Amicus Productions which was similar to Hammer Film Productions and a competitor. 'Vault of Horror' stars many familiar British actors including: - Tom Baker (Doctor Who). - Denholm Elliot (Dr. Marcus Brody in the Indiana Jones movies). - Terry-Thomas ('It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World' and he was the voice of Sir Hiss in Disney's animated feature 'Robin Hood', etc.). - Curd Jürgens ('The Enemy Below', 'The Mephisto Waltz', and as fantastic Bond villain, Karl Stromberg, in 'The Spy Who Loved Me', etc.). - Glynis Johns (as Winnifred Banks in Disney's 'Mary Poppins', as the voice of the little swallow in 'The Happy Prince' animated short, etc.). :)
oh my gosh. i have never seen this movie and i am a senior citizen and horror sci fi fan since being a child n the late 1950s. one of the funnest movies i have seen on creature features and interest guest. you have brought me great entertainment as the last 5 years i spend most of my time in bed because of a heart condition and rheumatoid arthritis. not looking for sympathy as there are millions of people with worse stuation around the world ,just saying you have a huge joyful effect on people. i love all the localised creature feature persons through history in all states and international. have you considerd adding horror sci fi. my favorite is sex galaxy which has no sex or nudity but a mashup of 1950s sci fi with over dub voices of hilarity that makes a good story. much apreciation and i dare say love to you you all including the workers off swtage. they really do a great art and skill. would be fun to see bloopers and behind the scenes video.
As a genuine live Baby Boomer, I would like to express my sincere Far Out appreciation for your programs and the channel on RU-vid. It helps to bring back many of my younger moments in my childhood and an escape from today's me, me society. I wish you many successes and a long life, stay cool and Peace to you and your staff. 1776
The song title "Grumble" and credit the pugs for vocal sampling. Just use their name, not that they are pugs. The lore will be ours (until the memoir of course).
A reverse 'picture of Dorian Gray' type story. Whatever happens to the picture happens in reality. Instead of whatever happens in reality shows on the picture. Only error is - why did he rush back to get his watch, the receptionist had seen him enter the building, he couldn't deny being there.
Just found this show and so happy to see it! I used to watch Creature Features with host Bob Wilkins on KTVU 2 Oakland, California 50 years ago! At the time it was the only show on tv that truly embraced nerd culture. Nice to see it back. I noticed you are using the old theme song too, though sung by the guest for tonight. What is your connection to the old show? How did this come about? And why didn’t anybody TELL me?! Well, I have a lot of episodes to catch up on. I’ll have to wait for Friday and Saturday night st 11:30 of course.
My college roommates used to refer to me as "The Vault" because they knew they could talk to me privately or air grievances about other roommates or mutual friends or grumble about life's circumstances, etc. and I'd keep it all a secret. It was so secret in fact that even I didn't have access to the information afterwards. Hahaha! :)
I am a creature feature lad , senior 79. I have been watching since Bob Wilcens. Not spelling right. And where is Mr Livingston ?.On vacation? I have been watching on you tube. No TV at my younger son's house in Medford Oregon..I sure wish I knew you all.personaly to come visit😀🧐. !. Thank you..Oh I now see Livingston while I type. Thank you. Can you play Psycho, or The Birds. 🙏❤️❤️❤️🙋 Charlotte in Oregon
I've never heard of zetro...please don't take it personally. I'm not into metal music, although I do respect that type of music, but he's a cool guy! His style, his character, & his voice. Great movie too! Thank you, creature features family.
Just had a thought that made me laugh. In the story with Terry-Thomas and Glynis Johns, the end you see his teeth in a jar. Well they are obviously dentures. So that means that this character, who prided himself in that everything must be perfect, had gap-toothed dentures made😂
Zetro got the voice man. I'd still like Jeff(Vince) to do something musical on the show though, he's selling himself short. but first need to go look for the songs Zetro mentioned he did at 16:40
@@armybeef68 I think he is. not a rock musician like his back story. but he's done some music in the past if i'm not mistaken. will have to look for it again.
Great show, and you partially cleared up a lingering question I've had. Mr. Souza I was wondering if you modeled the theme song vocals for Creature Features after The Rezillos "Somebody's gonna get their head kicked in tonight" the worlds most redundant title (great song tho)
