Just got my friend into D2 I made sure me and the rest of my friends done last wish first with him no guides and we had to teach him the hardest part of every encounter
@Tydson Not joking, but you can find teams to play with on LFG discord. People joke around saying it's toxic but I've met barely 2 people out of the hundred raids I've done till now who were annoying, otherwise the experience has been amazing
Bungie: Basically the encounter is them just trying to open a slightly complicated vault door, it doesn’t need to be anything too crazy Salvatori, Lewin, Moav, and Schlosser:
Imagine if a giant knight spawned from the door to riven and slammed into the ground and you had to kill it before the music ended otherwise it wiped you.. 👽
That’s my favorite part of the song. It’s so chaotic when it plays. “All knights are spawning, everyone kill your knights!” **I pop Goldy, Aim for the Head, and Shoot. The Knight Teleports and I miss.** “I need help at Rocks!” **Knight Slams on my plate, The bell rings, and everyone comes to obliterate it before it finishes its ritual. It’s all chaotic rambling during all of this**
Master last wish could be the best raid ever made and rivalled by none it’s already my personal favourite but a master mode that adds mechanics could be the best raid ever made no question. Imagine after the door is meant to open the music doesn’t stop and a boss spawns and you have to kill it fast or you wipe that’s just for vault
On god.. destiny raids will forever be a juggernaut activity in gaming.. literally everyone pays attention to them.. even the people who don't play the game
I completed my first ever Last Wish raid 45 minutes ago and this theme was fantastic. I felt excited yet nervous at the same time, freaking out about symbols and running and knights.... It was exhilarating. You must play this raid regardless if its current or not.
@@spappliespapple4628dude didn’t just make music for halo, he was there from the BEGINNING. He helped create the lifeblood for the franchise and was there with all the others who made Bungie so great. And yet laid off because some corpos needed a few bucks
I just did the Last Wish raid this weekend for the first time and our Sherpa told us to turn our music up just before the last phase and only said "you will thank me later" And this music played, mannnnn that was a true vibe while playing!
I've done it a bunch and we just brought a new player through for his 1st run last night. It literally never gets old. And he got 1K on his first clear 😁
@@sofiazafra5109 when I tell you the first time playing the raid... When I heard this piece... I went straight to youtube after we wiped LMAO... And Instantly downloaded it. This is a legit masterpiece.
"I went through a door! Next up... I wanna get a brain freeze." -Failsafe upon the Guardian walking through a door they spent many minutes, or even hours, trying to open.
Absolutely one of the most epic themes for a very complex encounter. Their game may not always be the best, but I’ll be damned if their soundtrack isn’t.
@@arzr_erpersonally I think it makes sense otherwise it would be a shorter raid and wouldn’t have a “guard” watching over the entrance to the vault door which was morgeths one purpose he was to sacrifice itself to kill anyone trying to get in
I cannot describe the level of panic this song causes, knowing you are right there and one slip up is game over is so stress inducing and adrenaline pumping
Another mark in the book to why Forsaken was THE BEST thing to ever happen to Destiny 2, and arguably still is the best DLC. Shadowkeep was underwhelming and Beyond Light was fantastic, but Forsaken revived, reshaped and expanded on the game in more ways than anything else ever could have. The Last Wish is just the crown jewel in every aspect.
@@Masternecron247 true can sign this even today. I started after D1 with Forsaken again and it was awesome. If Bungie ever vault Dreaming City with Last Wish I swear...
I know a guy who doesn't have music on in the game, he says he listens to it on his own time, but it is honestly not the same because we did the raid and I was astonished on how cool this sounded
It’s what a puzzle encounter should be. Teamwork and coordination. Without it you can’t open the vault. You have the locks the plats the symbols the nights the essence. It defines what a puzzle should be and I wished they made more like it
@@CharlesHall-rc1bmimo the best. It’s a direct continuation of the story. We killed uldren and his barons finally and avenged cayde. Or so we thought. Turns out riven was the one who caused all this. She manipulated uldren into killing cayde and doing all that he done in the hope of freeing his sister. Riven was the one who caused all the death and bloodshed. We were sent into the heart of the dreaming city to kill a beast of legend and in doing so created a curse. We should have listened and never had a wish to kill riven.
I’m sure that was riven speaking. Riven wanted to be killed. It would free her of being taken and from her prison. It also would grant savathûns last wish.
In my first LW raid completion there was an accidental win in this encounter featuring myself and the other 1st timer in our group. A knight was getting ready to slam and I was the only one close enough to stop him but all I had at that instant was the solar titan shoulder charge as I was out of shotgun ammo. I gave him a good hit which knocked him away. The other 1st timer happened to be lining up a shot with his celestial nighthawk to kill a different knight. Someone else killed his knight the frame before he fired. The knight I hit skid into that guy’s crosshairs in the same frame he fired. Headshot.
@@SentientMattress531 based on the date, it was probably before season of the haunted, and thus before you could use the throwing hammer super with mini hammers
Whelp, this is now most definitely my favorite theme in all of Destiny. It feels so perfectly epic yet utterly hopeless. Perfect for one of the most infamously difficult encounters in all of Destiny.
Hey on the track called Watchtower from the Forsaken soundtrack at around 2:20 there is a passage that corresponds to vault 3rd phase. The entirety of the song is just some parts of the Last Wish tracks. If you were looking for the reason why they removed it from RU-vid here you go.
Dude when I did the Vault encounter for the first time 2 members of my fireteam were afk and 1 person was muted, it was so chaotic and this music will always remind me of it.
The first time I was tasked with reading and after like 40 mins of me getting used to the encounter and this music came up..... I cannot begin to describe the chill that went down me spine
Sherpa'd this raid a couple months back. 2 of them were a father and son. The son just kept going "The music though! THE MUSIC THOUGH!" as we completed the encounter. I do not blame him.
I know the raids a joke to do now. But when I get like invested in what's happening and i get immersed, I imagine those parts playing and thinking of it like a cinematic where others are killing all the adds and knights while the main 3 are deciphering the lock. High stress lock picking while relying on your allies to defend you as you're channeling the power to see these markings. My personal favorite songs are Shell of what was, and the Queens Walk version of them because it makes me feel the same tension and anxiety of a team running together, 2 people are laying into enemies as the other 4 are deciphering the wall codes. Everyone running as a team and shooting down all the adds. And then the queenswalk edition of shell of what was is my all time favorite. Because thinking in the hsoes of your guardian, you're basically in a relay race for your lives, there's no such thing as wiping and trying again. This is a 1 shot thing and you're watching your team potentially sacrificing themselves by being warped into Rivens Heart trying to make a mad dash, the orchestra loud and powerful, quick pace dramatic finale for the whole raid. It fills my heart with joy thinking all of this in my head as I listen, or even while going through the raid, I always turn the music up highest for Last Wish and get super immersed in the moment with the music playing. Idc what anyone has to say about Destiny and how it's a "dying game" or how bad it is. Game's rarely make me feel anything anymore, they're just played for some fun and a waste of time and thats it but those moments in destiny are some of the strongest feelings I can have playing a game, and whenever Destiny 2 does finally cease to exist, I'm going to carry the memories of playing Last Wish, Leviathan, Deep Stone Crypt and all the raids with me forever. sorry for long drawn out comment lol. All of this just to say yes. This song, Shell of what was and Queens walk all together make this raid an entire mood 100%.
I always got giddy when this part of the 3rd lock on the vault started. It is music that drives you to see the end. Like most of the comments. It's an Intense Moment part of the game. Where one slip and over, then restart. But once all is said and done and you hear the last final lock open. it's like pure bliss. Now Riven...
Did this blind first time, took a few hours. Once that End part music kicked in for the first time i was so glad i had extra underwear and kinda same feeling when we did Rivensbane
i did this raid for the first time today, my mates already did it many times so when they said "watch out there will be 3 knights now" i got very scared and when the music kicked in i almost fell into a coma
Theres 2 versions, the Uncorrupted and Corrupted, Corrupted is the one that plays in game, and Uncorrupted was a scraped one, called “too heroic for a taken raid boss”, but imo sounds better
