Doing my battery today. That plastic bit is a bit annoying. But you made a quick job of yours and showed us diy macanicis how to remove. great informative video thanks
Battery on corsa c is really close to windshield, and there is no cover on battery, there is grill in front of the hood where rain gets trough and water gets on battery directly, is that normal for this car?, and sometimes when car is on rain for hours when I press clutch water starts to leak trough clutch pedal
Is there supposed to be a nut under the hold down carrier? I didn't notice a thread on the carrier itself (mine is corroded as well and won't shift). Cheers for the video.
What even is that little flappy trim piece that is in the way actually for? Not the bit you removed, but the bit that is situated above the battery on the piece of trim at the bottom of the windscreen. The battery would slide out no problem if it wasn't there.
I don't think it is. The battery is clamped on the left hand side, down at the bottom. I think it's actually to keep the plastic trim at the bottom of the window pressed up to the bonnet. If it is to hold the battery down it's the sh1ttest method for clamping a battery I've seen in 45 years of working on cars.
