Does anyone have any experience or advice with a Vbac or repeat c-section, good or bad, that you wouldn’t mind sharing? Trying to gather all the information I can before deciding what’s best for me and baby G 💖

Jessica Giffin I chose a c-section for baby number 2. At first I wanted to try for a VBAC but after reading about and watching some videos on uterine rupture, I just couldn’t risk it. I know they say it’s rare but we were also told we had a less than 1 percent chance of conceiving naturally and after IUI and 2 rounds of IVF, we conceived both of my daughters naturally. So, statistics really mean very little to me at this point and the chance of my uterus rupturing and possibly losing me and/or baby, it just wasn’t worth it to me.

It's such a hard choice! www.ontariomidwives.ca/vbac (scroll down to "thinking about vbac"). I found this to be helpful as a starting point. I'm personally leaning towards VBAC for baby #2, whenever I'm pregnant again. I had a C section for my first. I think it's 75% of attempted VBACs are successful (meaning not resulting in c section). That was a comforting number to me.

I had a VBAC with my second. Over four years after my c section. I’m pregnant with number three and I’m 100% doing a another vbac. I went into labor on my own at 40 weeks. The recover is so much easier(even with the tearing). I can answer any questions you have!

Sounds like you have a great doctor. Do as much research as possible and then tap into your intuition and follow it.

Super interesting info about the VBAC! My acne got pretty bad too, but cleared up sooo nice by the third trimester and I rarely get any now, it's great! TJ Maxx and Marshall's have the cutest baby girl things! 😍

Awe Jessica, listening to your delivery and pregnancy, it is like hearing my daughter’s story and history. She had to have the second c-section because of the “surprise pregnancy”... it was under the 2 year mark. Even the cravings, etc. I was telling her about you, she said try lemonade! She drank that all last summer! She always was saying through the whole pregnancy” I cannot believe it’s a girl! “ And yes the shopping for a girl! LOL!!! She kept saying it is strange to be looking at girl’s clothes. Then she said... “you have to get bows with everything!” She said her daughter was not going to wear them or have 100 pairs of shoes.....LOL!!!! She does with BOTH!! Oh what fun! Congratulations again... waiting to hear that name 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

How did u find out so early? I'm 10 weeks! Can't wait to know what we are having!!! After 3 miscarriage this our rainbow baby!!! Praying for a healthy baby

Aww praying for a healthy rainbow baby for your family 💜💜 they offer a blood test at 10 weeks here that tests for chromosomal abnormalities and it also tells the gender

I would be hesitant only because I actually know someone who did have a uterine rupture. The result was catastrophic. She lost her baby and her uterus. But maybe since I know this person that is the 1%.
