Not sure since it comes with a 3 year and I am not there. I know my older one doesn’t. You can contact them direct to verify. I am curious why you wouldn’t want to maintain updates? The updates have the latest changes and added years that occur at the manufacturer level of the vehicles.

@@papascustomcars I'm usually working on older vehicles 96 and on and I know I'll never own something new so I just want to know that it'll continue to work for me after 3 years and not become a paperweight. I can't afford to just throw away 4-$500 or just pay for updates to newer vehicles I'll never work on.

What year make and model?

According to the website you can use the 12+8 bypass cable (naturally sold separately). I don't have one, nor have had the need for one so I cannot test it with mine. I did plug it into my 2012 Jeep and it reads and does everything fine. But here is what it states, "To get the extended capabilities with additional adapters: EEPROM adapter for retrieving IMMO data; 12+8 Bypassing Cable to bypass SGM(fit for FCA vehicles 2017+)." ⁠@@papascustomcars(not sure if my comments went thru earlier) would be nice if you can confirm that it works for key programming on 2018 n up Chryslers because it only shows up to 2017 even tho a different function shows the FCA option. I wanna make sure it works before trying out on a friends car, also asked vdiag support thru email but no reply yet. Thx for the feedback🙏🏽
