On May 8, 2020, for VE Day (Victory in Europe Day) commemorating the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II invited the British people, who are sheltered in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to sing from their homes, porches, or balconies, the popular wartime song, “We’ll Meet Again.”
This performance by Westminster College First Lady Cindy Lamkin was recorded in the empty Christopher Wren church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury at America's National Churchill Museum on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. It is dedicated to the essential workers who remain at their posts during the pandemic and to the Westminster College Class of 2020.
