Thankyou so much for your video tutorial. With it, I was able to replace a completely broken lid in my husbands VE ute. A bit tricky in the tight space behind the seats in a ute, I utilised a mirror that allowed me to see the 5 screws on the back plate. 🙂 pretty happy with myself, it all came together nicely with your help. 27.06.23
Nice one bro, chur for that, and to the commenter re. the relevant rear screws. I lucked out hitting pick-a-part in the hutt, they had a few in there in various condish, charged me 9 bukka for a fully intact replacement. But like you I will def epoxy the old one's hinge as a back up as they are a common damage point/fault.
Very helpful thanks, I have a ve myself and the previous owner broke the center console exactly the same way, I was looking for a breakdown on RU-vid for a few months, wanted to fix it myself and avoid the $600+ price, thanks to this channel and this video in particular for the instructional 🤙
Wtf $600 omg hate to change anything else small but thanks for the video I’ve been meaning to replace my whole console lid kids broke it climbing over seats 😩 I hate taking something apart only to find it’s connected to 1000 other things lol helpful video mate 👍🏽👍🏽
Thought I'd be able to replace the plastic hinges for under $10 getting them off Ebay. Jesus I was so wrong! I think that's what killed the production of Holden's in Australia is their way over pricing which is reflected onto their replacement parts too I see.
These parts are crazy expensive... my lid slides forward for some reason do you know what the fix for that could be? Great vid btw we need as many as these as possible including cup holder change?
Thanks. I blew a fuse on the 12V Power Plug and I heard they have an in line fuse at the back of the plug. I was wanting to know how to get at the back of the plug.
@@kiwibadger7826 Hi. I got the back sections of as you described, but unfortunaetly, I can see the underside of the power plug but not enough to get at it :( It still looks really hard to get at. There is a large plastic section that needs to be lifted of the top. What I have done is buy an External Power Plug with 10A inline fuse that connects direct to the battery in the boot. Not very convenient, but it charges my phone etc.
