This is a small token of my gratitude. For years your podcasts have helped me through the worst times in my life and through the best of times. And if you can, please pass on my message of thanks to each and every one of your cast members. They have been fantastic so far.
I love how one of the party members was able to figure out the deception in this chapter. And then the rolls! OMFG! I'm looking forward to the selections everyone makes in the next video. I'm looking forward to what Remy picks that fits his character. And to what Egrik picks, because that should be very telling on what she's going to do next.
Honestly, it only worked out because of how much RoBear respects our backstories! Isaiah, by technicality, has "done" the Curse of Strahd module... so honoring that aspect, it's clear that he would have not only met Mordenkainen (as the Mad Mage) but would have helped him erase his madness and actually gotten to know him. So with that, RoBear realized that the ONE person in the party who could ruin Kas' plans WAS the one who directly knew the one being imitated. So good!
Here is the back at ya it takes two to tango point, if Q doesn't play a rightfully intimidating Dhampir Vampire Hunter, Kas doesn't feel the pressure as bad. Q's investment in his own story and portrayal EARNED that reveal. The minute he dropped those FANGS there was no QUESTION that Kas had to act! That's the difference between his character learning right then and there, versus sometime down the road.
