After watching The First Shadow, I must say this video and the concept behind it with this song was ahead of its time. If I were you, I would be ultra pro proud of myself. ❤ Well done!
Some are saying Henry was born evil but I highly doubt about it. I hope Season 5 gives us more intel on his past, specifically the years before he and his family moved to Hawkins to "start over." I would like to see the origins and the people responsible for his personality taking a turn to the dark side. I really hope Eleven can restore the light once found in Henry's heart and convinces him to undo the damage he's caused in Hawkins.
It's very possible that he was. What he viewed as a curiosity, others could have viewed as evil both pure and unrelenting. It's almost like he viewed the human condition as a game itself and he's the game master. The smartest person in any room, and two steps ahead of you at all times. But, it also possible that he didn't control anything. John Kramer in the SAW films said that he never controlled any outcome. He'd put possibilities in place and would let the game play out. It's likely Vecna did something similar here.
Maybe. The play might reveal some things though. It's called The First Shadow & is coming out this year before season 5. Don't know if you've heard of it but, I'm letting you know. You're right. Not all villains were evil all their lives, just made that way by the people from their pasts who hurt them, judged them, dehumanized them, controlled them, etc. Maybe he was good at one time. There's still a possibility that he'll become good and help 011 and her friends to battle and defeat all the creatures from the upside down to save Hawkins and the rest of the world like you sai. I know he's still in there, but it's highly unlikely.
This is actually Jamie Campbell Bower's most desperate wish no cap 😂❤, he has consistently advocated about his dark complex character's inner light though quite dim to begin with but it was there before his exile by Eleven. This always made me wonder whether this passionate defense was coming from the other side of his story we audience are not aware of yet or was it simply an actor's default empathy for his character. As another user pointed out here, the stage play might be the missing piece, potential of connecting other section of the fandom to understand where Jamie's perspective is originating from. This could also explain why the actor has been immensely supporting his almost irredeemable character but wouldn't shed anymore insights than we already are familiar with. He is probably waiting for the play to play out and be like hah told ya! Another factor which hints at strengthening this theory is the makers teasing this stage play with _"The beginning of ST which may hold the key to what comes next."_ right off the bat. So let's see if the writers' vision matches with his dream : )
It’s heavily implied that he’s EXTREMELY neurodivergent. In that time period he would not have been treated very well by society not to mention how traumatizing it would be to go exploring in your dads mind and find literal war trauma
