Very interesting talk. I am somewhat curious on why this proportion of 13 1/3 to 15 was given. Simpler would have been to say divide the diameter by 9 and make a square of 8 lengths. This is exactly the same as the proportions given. To check, you may multiply 13 1/3 by 3 to obtain 40 and similarly multiply 15 by 3 to obtain 45. Also, you may try it yourself. a square of 8 units will have an area of 64 units and a circle with diameter of 9 units will have an area of 81*pi/4, i.e. 81*(22/28*), i.e. roughly 63 2/3 units.

My theory of Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man mirrors that of his Last Supper. Vitruvian Man, the angle of his legs represent Precession. While what Sulba Sutra describe is impressive, they frankly do not solve the problem because as it was expressed, it is unsolvable. The Greek philosophers also talk about good approximations but very clearly this problem is about being exact. And the Sulba Sutra are also not exact because that is impossible. You're doing great work bringing real knowledge of our civilization rather than jingoistic beliefs into larger public view.
The fact is during colonial times Europeans never wanted to give credit to India for anything, most likely because they were scared of Pagans. Even the numerals they use they keep calling it the Arabic numerals knowing fully well that the Arabs themselves call it the Hindu numerals.

Squaring a circle and bisecting a triangle are all seen in the great pyramid of Giza. Earth is a circle, it's hemisphere is a semicircle and the base of the pyramid is a square. It's top is triangle bisected equally. This means it's blue prints are given by Hindu Sastras. Can project Shivoham shed some lights on it?? In fact, after watching certain episodes from the serial ' Devo ke dev Mahadev' one can infer that the blue prints for pyramids were given by lord Shiva himself to stop the ' wobble of earth' and thus to prevent complete destruction.

I know nothing about the nature of those rituals, but my first intuition for the reason why the altars needs to be the same area is a kind of transformational nature of those 3 shapes, from circle, though semicircle to square. It's like they're morphing from circle to square. It was my first though, that it's one space transforming info different shapes, also in my mind fire have this transformative quality to it, so maybe that's connected in some way?
