In this episode, I take an evening swim from the Vedder bridge down. The water is nice and clear, but not a lot of fish around. Near the end I spot a summer run Steelhead and a couple of Coho Salmon.
Oficially, at the Vedder crossing bridge. In recent years most people have been referring to the whole river as the Vedder, but local old timers hate that.
@@petrhermanadventures9509 thank you. it is more complicated than i thought. Cultus lakes drains into it then it turns into the Vedder Canal. The Sumas River is something else again. Still trying to figure mountains--Icy mount, Redoubt, Slesse, Rexford.
Nice Vid ! I can't really tell since the fish looks small in the video... Looks like hatchery trout ! A video request of its possible - it will be fun to watch you swim with the salmon, hopefully it does not spook them
The wide angle lens makes all the fish look small. I would guess it was about 18" and 5 to 7 pounds. The salmon move around when I swim by, but settle back into their spots quickly.
@@spli9082Thank you. I sell some of it occasionally, just to cover the cost of my own fishing gear. A lot of it I just use myself. The river is always hungry for lures
@@spli9082 Don't have a lot left at the moment, but if you can message me on F.B. with what types you like to use, I'll let you know what I have. I usually charge about 1/2 of the new price, but condition varies.
