#ebiketire #ebike #arielrider #arielridergrizzly #electricmoped #tires #biketires This is the tire I ended up going with. I would recommend the HEB Allscapes. I put these on no longer had any issues. amzn.to/3AqarYM
Vee huntsman tires are very hard to mount but not impossible. The huntsman wobble comes from improperly mounting the tire. I'm riding on huntsman's right now and there's no wobble whatsoever. I haven't read all the comments I don't know if someone has already told you how to do it but. You get a piece of chalk and an air compressor. You cannot pump up the tire with a hand pump It has to be rapidly filled. The small line next to the bead has to be perfectly lined with your rim. Mark the places it needs to be adjusted with chalk. Deflate the tire partially to the point where you can pinch in a firm tire forcing the chalk line into the rim and then inflating If it doesn't work the first time keep trying as you pinch and then inflate until The line is uniformly tucked in the rim It may not work your first try but trust me it works.
Thanks and I appreciate the information. You are right if not mounted properly you can absolutely get a wobble if the bead of the tire is not seated properly. There are actually multiple ways of seating a tire properly. Soapy water and over inflating is another successful way of doing it that most bike shops use to. Although it can be a little intense. You are correct on making sure the tire is seated properly. Even off a little bit will cause a wobble. Also if the rim is not tru it will also create the same issue. The V3 grizzly is known for loose spokes and people having problems with them on a regular. Most times on a grizzly it is more due to having to tighten a couple spokes a few times which can knock it out of tru. A lot of people love these tires and don’t have issues, although a lot of people do. So it is good to make sure you have everything installed properly. I did spend another 120 dollars having a reputable bike shop double check everything to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. It’s great you are not having any problems with them because when they work well people seem to love them. I would just recommend trying to install them asap just in case there is an issue so you can exchange them or get your money back.
If you would order them at some point, I would make sure you install them right away. At least that way, if you do have an issue, you can return them and get your money back.
I tried to get a pair of these Huntsman tires but couldn't so I bought the Speedster White Walls instead to put on both of my Spark Cycle Works Bandit's with dual batteries. It was touch and go getting the Vee Speedster's set right but once I did the ride is excellent and my bikes were fast before but now faster. Recently I switched to the HEB Allscape 20x4 on my 2023 Bandit, these tires are built like motorcycle tires and they handle really good on pavement road. A little heavier than the Speedster tires but definitely worth it and my top speed didn't change too much.
I'm glad this video was able to help. I had such high hopes for this tire to. I was crushed it didn't live up to its hype and that it burned a nice size hole in my wallet. Just what I spent on trying to get it fixed, I could have bought a whole new set of tires from someone else. That was my mistake for not trying to install them right away. I just figured they are tires and shouldn't be defective. I guess as they say.. you live, you learn.
Thank you for the infornation on a Huntsman tires I just received them in the Mail I have not put them on yet, but i'm tinking motorcycle tire Balancing
@@CeboAquatics yeah I can work on something like that. I am just using a backdrop on the wall behind me. Green screens are really hard to get dialed in just right that you don’t have that green chromatic aberration and you constantly have to edit the edges ect. For quick clips or segments they work okay, but for editing purposes a backdrop drop is easier. I am using a single Key light to light everything. Pretty easy basic set up. If you use a back drop it’s easier to change out too. Just shoot at like 2.8 aperture and it helps sell the background a little more. My studio area is a little tighter than I like. I wish I could mover further away from the wall. Not sure if that helps some but I will see about making a short or something on my set up.
I am so glad that I have found this/your video !!!! I have a Zugo Rhino and i just picked it up a couple months ago and basically it is a Ariel Rider in disguise...lol I got a great deal on the Rhino that is why i picked it up .... I picked it up for under a grand and the site i got it from is still selling them ...... Anyway do yourself a favor and just cut your loses and pick-up a differnet brand of tire cause you do not know what might happen in the long run. When i got my bike delivered a few months ago I had the same issue with my rear wheel right out of the box ...I did everything like you and got it a bit better but nowhere like i want it. I live in NJ and when i got my bike the weather started getting a bit colder so I aint riding it in the cold that much , but I want to change my tires due to the wobble . I was looking inot the Huntsman and I was just about to order them next week but I just found your video a few hours ago , and i am so glad i did . All i can say Is Thanx bro for posting this and the tires I am, now looking into are HEB ALLSCAPE ...But I am still researching them .
Glad this video was able to save you a ton of time and trouble. The HEB Allscape are nice tires. A little more pricey but less chance of a wobble. These larger heavy tires can be a little finicky when mounting. The company sends links for mounting to help make sure the tire gets seated properly.
I bought Pirelli mandrakes 90/80/16, they're absolutely fantastic. I recommend you give them a try plus they are only like 60 dollars a piece and built like tanks.
It took me 2 hours in total to seat these tires on my Ariel rider to eliminate the wobble in the rear. Theres no noticeable wobble while riding but I still see a bit in the front. I still love these tires but I recommend kenda kraze tires over these
I have Kenda Kraze on my backup bike and those are most easy to puncture ever, in 1 year 3 times and always with glass. On s73 rx I have grizzly tires and 2 years zero puncture, on Coast Cycle buzzraw pro original tires and zero puncture 2 years, but this kenda fail me 3 times in 1 year and was used less than other bikes.
I am really enjoying it.. you can still pedal get a nice workout in or can speed off.. if I can change anything it would be no delay on the throttle and little more torque and top speed.. but overall great bike.@@gearadventures
Yeah I did and tried to over inflate. I went through all the steps of seating and making sure rim was true. Then had a bike shop do it all over again to double check me to make sure I wasn’t crazy or just didn’t do something right. They tried it all too and came to the same conclusion. The also tried to re tape the rim to make sure it wasn’t anything crazy like that either. I think it was just a bad set of tires. I installed the HEB Allscape and no issue at all
I've bought 3 different fat tire ebikes from 3 different companies and they've all had that annoying wobble. So I don't think it was the tire but then again, I don't have the same bike you have. If your bike didn't ship with the wobble, maybe you could contact the ebike company and have them put the tire on for you? I'm a year late to the party so if you figured it out already disregard this comment.
@@Greg_ThymeTraveler a lot of e-bikes have issues with the rim being out of true, or tires not seated correctly. I actually put on a set of HEB Allscapes and didn’t have the issue anymore. This time it was the tires but I did have to go through all the additional steps and then spend the money to have a bike shop double check me to make sure I didn’t miss something, but you are right so many times it can be something not tire related and happens frequently.
I know some people swear by them. I might of just got one of the bad sets. Glad they worked out for you. They are a good looking set of tires with great tread pattern.
Nice, I never heard of the bike before. I was just looking them up. I see they are out of Canada. Looks to be a lot like the grizzly just with better tires and better handle bars. If they got better customer service they could take all the grizzly riders customers. lol. I sometimes wonder where these companies come up with Bike names.
@@gearadventures i bought the last ks stallion and it is a ariel rider it comes from the same factory in china, ks stallion shut down their site 2 weeks after i bought my bike
I bought a set of vee speedster 26x3.5 that did the exact same thing. Couldn't ride it like that, I just ordered another set of folding bead for my fatbike.
You will have to let me know how that set works out for you and if it resolves the issue. I know it would be a little more weight but I really wish some of these fat tire bikes would go to mag rims. Most of these bikes are already heavy so a little added weight I think would be worth it.
I have no e bike experience, but on a tire that size is it possible that the tire has a heavy spot and needs to be balanced much like a motorcycle tire? Or is it possible they were shipped or stored at the warehouse in a way that would cause a bit of a bend in the tire? I have a set of shinko 244 MC tires that had a visually noticeable "dip" from side to side in the tread pattern from how they were stored prior to being shipped, went away after a few 100 km of riding. Didn't notice it in the handling but was also on a motorcycle loaded to over 600lbs.
It could be just a bad set of tires. I think the tires are a little to much tire for a far tire bike. Seems like a regular issue with them. I thought the same thing. Maybe something was off and i might of been missing something. After everything I tried failed, I took to a good local bike shop to have them double check everything. I am going to try another tire that is same style to see if I have any better luck with it and make sure it's a tire problem.
I bought 2 of these and only 1 wobbled. I figure it is bad manufacturing and not distributing the rubber weight evenly throughout the tire during the manufacturing process. No more vee for me.
Thanks for posting this. It will help people looking to upgrade tires. But.... please consider deleting the crappy 'music' background. No one has said... you know this video would be much better with crappy 'music' clogging up the audio.
Hey buddy i think you should try to realign your rim i think that maybe you problem your rim isn't true anymore check your spokes you may have some loose. Just a thought. So sorry to hear that about your problem. I sure hope you can fix it best of luck to you.
Yeah I thought the same thing so I took tire rim to a shop and had them double check the rim. It was tru and they said it was a tire issue you to. I used a different set of tires Heb Allscape and that seem to fixed it. I would say you are right though a lot of times it is just the rim not being true. Hopefully the version 4 will go to mag wheels. The rims of the V3 have a lot of issues with spokes coming lose.
I Have a Stealth bomber and my back wheel wasn't perfect when i got it but it got worse i tried to fix it but i just made it worse i ended up buying a whole new rear wheel with the motor i plan on trying to get it fixed so ill have a extra rear wheel i feel your pain i know it's my spokes aren't trued up so it's a job ill do next winter. I'm glad to hear your wheel is better there are tires that aren't perfect from the factory so maybe you just got an unlucky with your tire i feel bad for you that shit sucks. I hope you have way better luck with your bike in the future ride safe buddy buddy. God Bless.
@@Kamel419 I just got a set of heavy tires called HEB Allscape and problem was resolved. Sometimes it’s just a bad set of tires. This tire is also known for blowing out the side walls too. Just not a good bike tire plagued with a lot of issues. Granted some people love them and have no issues at all. I know they have good sets of tires too, but after the time and money I spent and then a new set of tires working no issues at all. I wasn’t going to spend anymore money on that brand of tire.
Actually, they have quite a few that speak English. I was just at their corporate office in Bangkok not too far from my place last week to buy these tires. They called down someone who spoke English since I can only speak a little bit Thai.
@@gearadventures dude I just realized I was looking at the same identical tires. They’re actually in my cart from last night that’s crazy same exact tires I found how are they? No problem ??
Just by looking at them, They are too heavy. Looks like a motorcycle tire on a bicycle rim, and all imperfections will be magnified. Why aren't people satisfied with getting bicycle tires, that are lighter and faster?
Yeah I agree,it does feel like it’s too much tire. The grizzly is a heavy moped e-bike and tend to be more prone to getting flat tires especially if you do any off road riding. So everyone is looking a tire that is good on and off road and has enough tire to be able to handle the size and weight of a grizzly. Most people will try tire liners too which do help. Also a heavy tire does assist some with over all tire spin and handling at higher speeds. Would be nice if there was something in between this style tire and a regular bike tire. I am sure as the larger heavier e-bike market grows accessories will become better matching and more available.
Ok maybe you're right if the new tires don't wobble. But at 3:33 if you look on the inside edge of the rim where the spokes are it look like the rim is wobbling, or maybe on the axle@@gearadventures
@@okkkjenjkk8720 yeah the tire being warped was making the whole rear hub wobble pretty bad. I couldn’t figure out if it was tires or Rim being out of true or even if the tire wasn’t seated properly . That’s why I finally decided to take it to a bike shop and see if it was the rim out of true. They checked the rim said it was true then they took tire off and put it back on to make sure it was seated properly on rim and no issues. The said it had to be tire cause everything else was good.
