What’s really great about this homemade vegan cream cheese is that, not only does it look, feel, and taste as good as the real thing, but it’s easy to make with just a blender and some basic ingredients. It’s made primarily with soyabean, and there is no oil involved. So you get some healthy fat and protein with this spread!
You can use this cream cheese to make savory and sweet recipes including sandwich spreads, dips, sauces, cakes, to gazillion more things
Ingredients:
1 cup soyabean
4 cups water
2 tbsp lemon juice
Recipe:
1. Take 1 cup soyabean, soaked overnight.
2. Blend 1 cup soaked soyabean with 4 cups of water in a mixer.
3. Blend until the beans grind well.
4. Separate the pulp from the soymilk by straining it with a clean cloth.
5. Transfer the milk to a pan.
6. Heat the milk while stirring it on medium high heat.
7. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the hot milk and stir lightly.
8. The milk will curdle in 3-4 minutes.
9. Now filter the curdled milk with a cloth.
10. Wash it in clean water and squeeze out all the water.
11. Grind the cheese in a mixer with some salt.
12. If you find the cheese dry, add 1-2 tablespoons of water.
13. Grind until smooth.
Your vegan cream cheese is ready!
