I only use cruelty free beauty products and now looking into vegan brands too after finding out a lot of my faves had Carmine in them 😭 this is so helpful

I didn't know some of these were cruelty free! I'm just starting out and it's all been quite overwhelming finding replacements because so many turn out to say cruelty free but aren't! Thank you for this x
great video, so nice to see a British one, The wife is vegan and always drags me around looking for makeup, she is red-haired and very sensitive, but she doesn't wear foundation unless going out. She wears ultra sun 50+ every day, that is vegan and cruelty-free and reef safe. She wears makeup on top if going to a do. She makes me wear the ultra sun too! We watched your video together and she said "at last a normal video"

I have been vegan and cruelty free with the products I use on my face, body, etc, but I finding it very hard to change what I eat. I like to think that it's hard because I'm still living with my parents and they aren't vegan and I'm often tempted with the food they make or bring home. The only thing I change was my milk and cereal and I've been doing just fine with the breakfast part. Any advice?❤️💛💙❤️

have always wanted to try gosh foundation drops but they don't come in a shade dark enough for my skin! really hope vegan/cf brands diversify their shade ranges more x
Oh gosh me to. It is totally ridiculous. When I went for an immersion session to learn about B. Superdrug makeup a while ago, another RU-vidr in the session asked the marketing team about whether they were going to expand their shade range (which is currently pretty good for the drugstore but could defo be improved) and they said that there is only so much space on the stand in their stores, which I suppose makes sense in terms of they can't hold every single shade in store as there wouldn't be enough space to hold 40 different shades/tones... but then they said they were going to start looking at the demographics of the area of each of their stores - so for instance in areas where they have more POC, they'd hold more makeup in deeper skin tones (?).... which I find bizarre because A) the UK is massively multi-cultural and surely you can't segment people/areas like that... and B) You don't always only shop in the area you live in, sometimes you go to a different town and go to a different Superdrug than your regular store. I dunno. This has gone on a bit of a ramble now but basically I completely agree and now more than ever I find it unacceptable that brands still give these bs excuses. Really hope that if we continue to be vocal about it the drugstore will up their game!!! xxxxx

As soon as you mentioned superdrug B Foundation it made me happy as it's my holy grail and I've gone through 3 tubes! Thank you again for this video! I believe the word you're looking for to describe Wilkinson's is "general store". Okay, so it's two words, but you know what I mean...lol! E.l.f. cosmetics are both vegan and cruelty-free. Some of their stuff is quite good; others...not so much. :) I really like their primer infused blush. It's so good! I also like the bubble mask. ;)
Hahah that's the word(s) I was after!! I've tried a bit from elf - I love their highlighter/blushes and their brushes! Never tried their skincare though :-) Glad you like the mask! xxxxx

Just found your channel and I love it! I've been using cruelty free and vegan products for about 2 years but still occasionally go back to non-animal safe companies because I can't find products that do a good job. I'm here to improve! Also, I'm desperate for a primer for acne prone skin. No makeup lasts on my face past a couple of hours, I've tried countless primers for years and every. single. one has made me break out horrendously!! Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated! X
Heulwen Sault-Jones I don’t use a primer, never have. But for me, Lily Lolo mineral foundation lasts really well on my skin. I have combination/dry skin depending on the time of year and weather so I don’t know if it would work for oily skin. As it’s very natural it’s great for the skin, doesn’t break me out (in fact it improved my skin as the main ingredient is zinc which is healing) and it looks very natural. It’s about medium coverage and as I said it lasts pretty much all day for me. Use with a good brush such as RT expert face brush or the buffing brush to buff it into the skin. Lily Lolo sells samples of all their foundation shades so you could try it and not lose out too much if you don’t get on with it. X

If you want to save money on eye makeup, if you have a good mascara you can use an angled brush to brush some mascara on your lid as a liquid eyeliner! :DD
Do you have any idea about when to use a liquid foundation or a powder? I had thought previously that I would be best using liquid but I find I get real oily towards the end of the day and figure maybe powder would stop this?
Maddie Coussens Maddie Coussens What finish does the liquid foundation have that you use? Do you set it with powder after applying? One of my fav things to do is use liquid foundation but set it with mineral foundation - I find this give great coverage so that when I sweat in the day the foundation lasts so much better on my T zone. I then set with a rose water spray so that it doesn’t look ‘flat’. That said, I have normal skin, not oily, and a mineral foundation doesn’t keep oils at bay as well as a loose powder.... but it might help! xxxx
What kind of skin do you have? I find a lot of drugstore foundations contain silicone... The B. one has silicone in but doesn't feel too silicone-y if you know what I mean. When I want a foundation without the silicone I opt for green beauty brands to be honest! Like the Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation - but this is thicker than a typical liquid foundation. xxxx
Hello! I don't have this problem with mascaras I'm afraid, most work for me, although some noticeably transfer - I never get this with the Gosh Rebel Eyes Mascara. I just checked the reviews online and people agree that it lasts all day and doesn't flake, so maybe check this one out if you haven't yet? :-) xxxx
