It is kind of nice to see you come out with all these nice vegetarian and vegan recipes. The carbon footprint gets reduced when we switch on to a vegetarian diet. Our planet needs this healing. Keep going.
I need this in my life. I loved lobster and crab when I was pescatarian. I'll definitely be making this! Thank you for such a great recipe. You're always amazing to watch! 😁
I want a really good stuffed pepper recipe (growing them in my garden) preferably without soy. Also cucumbers grow like crazy in my garden so recipes with them would be fun too!
Hey! There is a new cooking show in Netflix- Nadiya's Time To Eat- all of here recipes look delicious! Would love you to veganize anyone one of them!!!!
Since becoming vegan I've missed lobster & scallops so much, thanks for your alternative seafood recipes hun!! Life saver for me and my fellow animals! 💖🐳🐬🦈💖
I think the person meant king trumpet mushrooms! I find them better than scallops and they do everything scallops did for me, except being flakey and melty.
dude(any gender), my leg had fluid filled blisters the size of quarters after a night of redlobster for the first time in years! after the doctory said i need to carry an epi pen... for thousandsof dollars??? that is why i decided to go vegan. that and eating chicken that was prepared incorrectly, i puked for days and am sure i was hallucinating. ive never been sick from making my own vegan food.
i love how effortlessly you suggest sourcing sustainably, you make it feel really approachable and i think a lot of people feel like it’s a hard task! would love if you made more videos on those topics!! 💖
I tried to make the crab cake. It might have been Hot for Food . (sorry} But I found it wet. I never saw a description to dry it, just drain. Do you dry it out first?
@@skyes1904 I live in england and i would have to travel 24 miles to the city just to go to a specialist asian grocery store to get it, even the large supermarkets don't stock nori or any seaweed and thats in the city too.
Divine! This was a hit with the whole family. Hubby has been begging for "lobster rolls" for a while so I knew you would not disappoint. Vegan mayo is so high in fat so we keep the following on hand: MAYO 12 oz silken tofu (the really soft shelf stable version) 1-2 Tbs lemon juice, 1 Tbs apple cider vinegar 1/4 tsp salt Blend until creamy. This is ALWAYS in my fridge and great for plain old mayonnaise or as a base for dressings like buttermilk or ranch. We put it in everything and even my picky 16 year old loves it. Thanks again for the inspiration!
Tried this recipe and it tastes so good, my boyfriend is not vegan but he wouldn’t stop eating it lol. It was my first time trying hearts of palm, it’s nothing like lobster which is more soft but it does have a neutral taste which you can just season it and has a crunch to it, which I didn’t mind at all!
I’m a New Englander, I’ve never had a lobster roll, but I think you’ve pretty much combined the 2 varieties. There’s the mayo version, or butter. I’ve never seen them mixed together like that. But I will be trying a version of this! Looks delicious
I made these today for a birthday gathering, and they were a complete hit! Of course, you can’t mimic lobster exactly, but these are still really good. I used furikake seasoning in place of seaweed. Delicious!
Omg I made this dish today and I know you said you could use the sea weed and honey let me tell you it was amazing and I mean truly amazing. I'm making more for my friends tomorrow I will let you know what they say. Thank you so much
Omg…I made this the other day and it was AMAZING!! I had left overs and it actually tasted better the next day. I switched it up and put it on a jicama wrap which was so refreshing and crunchy and delish!!! Thanks for the recipe!!
@@chapman1569 So Jícama is a root veggie…similar texture to an apple and a little bit sweet. They make these wraps at Trader Joe’s that look like gorillas but it’s just the jicama in a circular form. They are a great replacement for bread, also very crispy and refreshing!
I grew up in New England eating lobster rolls, they are delicious, but quite honestly this looks even better. Can’t wait to try this recipe! Thank you ❤️🦞
Can't wait to try this! Thanks for the recipe. And I love this hair color on you, it looks great with your complexion. Though the bright pink is pretty awesome, too.
Not a vegetarian but trying to be lol so I like trying different vegan/vegetarian dishes to help get me there. I actually order some vegan shrimp and Im going to be doing a review on them soon. I Definitely want to give this recipe a try as well cause I love seafood!
I've already seen 'lobster mushroom' lobster (sounds funny) but hearts of palm is such a great concept! So much more easily available than this specific mushroom :D And I must say, the outcome looks insanely good!
Thank you sooo much, Iove hearts of palm and have been looking for more recipes to try. This is perfect bc I've been wanting to experiment with more vegan "seafood" dishes too. Love your content!!
Yum! I’m here in 2022 and was looking at hearts of palm recipes. My mouth is watering! I definitely agree with the greens! I’m thinking of trying this is an egg roll…after I eat a lobster roll. Ohhh, or a spring roll! 😋
Mmmmm it looks so good . I love sandwiches so I will totally try this . I was going to make ceviche with hearts of palm but this looks so good . By the way loving this color of hair on you 😊🖤.
We made this tonight with homemade tortillas because we didn't have the rolls, but oh my goodness its good. We couldn't decide if the sauce tasted like blue cheese, ranch, French onion or tzatiki sauce. Its really good
I made a Hearts of Palm “ceviche” and it was amazing!! Please try it!!! I did ok but I would love to see how you perfect 👌 the recipe!!! I’ll put the link in a reply to this comment. Can’t wait for u to try it out!!! I love watching you turn something into something else. That’s something I love playing with! Thank you so much for creating this channel. I can’t eat seafood, not sure if I’m allergic but it always upsets my tummy. I’ve always wanted to try a lobster roll and now I Can!!!🥰
Here’s the recipe! Hope you re-create it!! I’m excited to watch more of your vids! I’m so glad I found this channel😃😃😃😃😃😃 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vYP2ENhth0I.html
Before I went vegan, I had a lobster roll when I visited Nova Scotia and it was drool-worthy. I can't wait to have friends over and make these vegan ones and blow everyone away! Served with nice, cold beers and eaten al fresco... oh, the wheels are turning!
There is an appetizer my family used to make for years for holidays, called “crabbies”. (Tons of recipes online). It’s made with Kraft Old English cheese, crab meat, mayo, garlic power, etc on an English muffin. I would love if you could do your magic and come up with a vegan option! I haven’t been able to quite get the cheese and crab parts right. Love your videos! ❤️
I make “crab meat” from sriracha flavored tofu that is finely grated, then add a tablespoon or so of vegan mayo. Tastes almost exactly like the crab meat in a California sushi roll. Maybe that would work in your crabbie...
I also grew up in a home that did not eat lobster for religious reasons...I've never had lobster, but my husband grew up eating anything and everything and I think this is going to be a thing for him. :) Thank you!
Looks delish! My family is from New England, so I grew up eating a lot of seafood. Can’t wait to try this! If you do have access to sea weed how much should you put in and what type should you use?
Wow! This is next level kind of stuff. Thank you so much for this great idea! Ok so here's my understanding on how a po boy is different from a seafood 'roll'. A basic lobster roll is stuffed in a buttered 'soft' roll with lobster/crab/shrimp salad like what you made. With a po boy, you'd have some battered or deep fried things or possibly creole bbq shrimp filling up a toasted bun --look for bahn mi bun which is crunchy on the outside but sub-like on the inside. The condiments are varied. If you're making seafood po-boy... maybe try a remoulade type sauce with spicy sweet pickles lettuce and tomatoes. Another type of po-boy might have mayo, beef substitute, gravy, lettuce, tomato and pickles...even fries (on the sandwich!). I know a local restaurant who makes a sweet potato po boy...and oh boy is it good. They top it with some house made pickles and lettuce and tomato! I hope that helps.
I've never ate any kind of sea food either, or any kind of wild game. I stopped eating meat all together when I was a very young child on my own cause I made the connection. Went vegan over ten years ago & now at nearly 40 I couldn't imagine living life any other way!! Anyways, I can't wait to make these for my husband. He is a veggie but used to like lobster years ago!!!
Looks good, I’m making it for sure. When talking about veganism I don’t say, I can’t eat this, can’t do this or that. I say I Won’t eat this, won’t do this or that 👑
In Canada we have eastern Québec, Halifax, Nova Scotia, PEI & Labrador that make lobster rolls. Most likely all very different lol my fav was eastern Quebec so I’m excited to try and replicate it with this!
This was super good. Ive never liked seafood much anyway, so when I stopped eating meat I didn't miss anything but I wanted to try this bc I've wanted to expand the plants I eat. The dressing for this sandwich was beyond yummy!!!🥰 I didn't put butter on it bc I didn't think it needed it with all the flavor it had ❤️A+
Do you rinse off the palms from the can? How did you chop them up? I think that should have been shown because I've always been curious about these but have never bought them.
