You only need a tablespoon or two if you use lemon or vinegar. You shouldn't really taste it. You need something acidic to react with the baking soda. It creates air bubbles, which makes them fluffy! The other acidic options aren't vegan. Like dairy.
wishcandyyy haha thank you! definitely have to try that. trying to come up with a really good pancake recipe myself since I don't use some of these ingredients myself, like coconut oil. :)
Elgatoconbolso I just feel like my whole life is a lie.. you know?.. I mean... How many other hidden words are there? I feel like this is something my mother should've told me the day I got my first period.
NO that would be MUSH. Find something else when it comes to pancakes girlfriend, just forgedaboudit. Pancakes is pancakes 1000s of years old just no substitute that can match a Hot cooked pancake vegan or otherwise. With real Canadian Maple syrup that is. : )
lauryn anderson She announced at the beginning of the season that she was going to be doing some non-raw recipes as well. Although so far, it seems like all she's been doing so far are not raw recipes lol.
I would like to take the time to say that this video is admirable. I have recently switched to full vegan not too long ago and I feel a little limitless on the amount of food that I can make raw, vegan. This video has opened my eyes and made me see that it is not as hard as I thought it would be. I can still have flour, I can still have the maple syrup, and best of all, I can still have my pancakes! Thank you Laura for being such an inspiration and I am looking forward to giving your recipes a shot one day :)
I made these today. Insted of ½ cup almond milk I added a whole cup of buckwheat milk. And I mixed the flour with a bit of rice flour. It was delicious! I love your channel and your recipes!
If she had said "green, purple, pink" you would think her recipes are either green, purple or green. Same here, some are RAW, some are VEGAN, and some are NOT GROSS. It all depends on how open your mind is. Stop judging, and start enjoying. Life is THAT simple, seriously!!!
Norell A. Winburn Lol i wasn't judging!! I was genuinely curious and confused bcos i was new to her channel XD chill.. i mean if someone sees it from the title they would have thought so bcos the title IS suppose to be relevant isn't it??
Easier sause for pancakes, into a food processer: 5 soaked dates 1 Tbsp cocao powder (add a tablespoon of water if needed, look for a thick syrup consistancy) sooo good! and less expensive than hazelnuts, but great recipie overall! yummm!!!
The Nutella was raw. See there was a raw recipe included in this episode. Plus she said this season she wanted to try out some vegan recipes. She still does raw. Stop nit picking
LauraMiller's#1 Fan it technically isn't raw if it is cooked past a certain temperature. People might be disappointed if they come to these videos expecting raw food recipes.
They where SO good ! I made them without the coconut oil for less fat and they still turned out amazing :D I tried to eat the whole recipe but it made a little to much so I stuck them in the freezer and used a toaster to heat them up the next day
The Yam Industry eating raw is the next step ,and most difficult,in human evolution..If you are not ready to do this step ,eating raw is unnecessary for people like you.Continue to feed your parasites with the cooked food-they will enjoy 😊
I loved when the videos were all raw recipes. You make the best tasting food, unlike so many other “gross” raw recipes out there. Bring back the raw please! 🙏🏼
I appreciate that you list the measure ingredients, and clearly simplified how to make your yummy recipes. Thank you, and I love the style of your Kitchen.
I made this recipe today for Father's Day and the Nutella had an odd almost bitter taste. I tried adding sweeteners and more chocolate and it just wasn't happening. The batter was sticky and a bit too dry and thick. I had to add water constantly and it was still difficult to spread on the pan. The taste of the pancakes was okay, but I'd suggest trying another recipe to see if the consistency is better.
So videos that were previously free for me to watch on RU-vid now will cost me money to watch on your website. I understand needing to be compensated for you work, but this isn't new work. This is work that you had provided to the public and have now taken away. Goodbye, Tastemade.
Just tried them ! Gluten free, with rice flour and corn flour, with no quantities, it works till the dough is a little bit tough/resistant under the wood spoon ;) My mum loved it :) Can't wait to try some other great recipes here ! :3 thanks !
Okay, party pooper alert! I really love Laura's videos, and I'll give this recipe a try BUT theoretically, heating flax seeds or flax oil is a pretty bad idea, as all the goodies in the flax can turn into harmful substances. Also, one of my pet peeves is when people call oats gluten-free or mention them in the context of gluten-free foods. While stores do sell so-called "non-contaminated gluten-free oats", the avenin in oats can be harmful to some people who can't tolerate gluten, so beware celiacs! There are plenty of non-oat grains out there, and I wish people stopped listing them in "gluten-free" recipes, as it can be misleading.
First video I've ever seen on her channel and let me tell you, I subscribed like five seconds into the video, she is freaking hilarious and has this amazing laid back attitude.
African Grey Parrot I don't have celiac disease so I don't have a problem with it. This fear of gluten, especially in the vegan community is ridiculous and completely unnecessary. Unless you're actually allergic, gluten isn't bad for you. Do your research.
I can't wait for morning to come so I can make these for breakfast. I probably won't even be able to sleep now because I'll just be thinking about these pancakes all night.
omg i'm so into vegan food and seriously people who think vegans only eat salad.... There are sooo many yummy vegan recipes and they're healthy, too, something i have been looking for my whole life
+KpopIdolizer when I use it, I just use unsweetened apple sauce and I usually can't taste it. Also, the ratio is not 1:1 so you might want to look up what it is if you're following a recipie so it doesn't get messed up.
