This is such a good recipe and it makes a lot! I found that it is enough to cover 3-4 recipes of Haniela’s vegan sugar cookie recipe. Sets up really well.

Hi! I tried this out today, but for some reason, the nozzle got blocked all the time. And it wasn't because the icing was too thick: As a matter of fact, I couldn't work very clean, because the icing was running all over... Did you sieve the icing sugar before putting it into the bowl? Maybe there were some sugar corns?

My icing is so brown and I didn't even use vanilla extract. I used so much white food coloring and it is still pretty brown. I even tried making it with ener-g egg replacer instead of the chickpea juice and it is still brown! I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The sugar looks white to me! 😭

Did you let the icing dry, how soon after you iced the cookie did you lift it up?

@@HanielasFirst of all, I am a huge fan and have followed you for years! I never lifted them up and noticed the cracks within minutes. I have always used the traditional royal icing and had no problems. However, since going Vegan, I'm using this recipe. 😊 Do I need to refrigerate the icing overnight or can I leave it on the counter? Thank you!

Thank you Amy. That's unusual, not sure why that would be. I've worked with it handful of time but haven't had this problem. I have to test again if I came across this issue myself. I'd stick it in the fridge. Thank you so much.
