Swedish Cardamom Buns
Adapted from www.fixfeastflair.com/
(Makes 8-9 buns)
CARDAMOM DOUGH
3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons instant yeast
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup + 1 tablespoon oat milk, warmed
5 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon vegan butter
CARDAMOM FILLING
4 1/2 tablespoons vegan butter
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cardamom
CARDAMOM TOPPING
1/4 cup date syrup
2 tablespoons water

I recently bought myself a silicone mat for dough rolling, etc. It is so cool! It has a ruler going all around it and even has conversions like cup = gram etc.

i tried this recipe today and they're amazing! when you said it gets worse before it gets better you were absolutely right, the first two minutes into the dough making i was sure it wasn't gonna be good but low and behold it turned out perfectly :) my family loves them as well so i will definitely make them again and also try different fillings since there are so many delicious variations in sweden

Just made these and they turned out GREAT! I am not vegan, so I used regular butter and I made a vanilla/clove/cinnamon syrup to top it off! Thank you for the great video and instruction

So I just started using Cardamom spice 3 days ago and it's amazing. I thought I was going to die soon but now I feel 10 years younger. Crazy mucas drainage gone . Terrible heartburn gone . Arthritic pain gone . More energy. Mood is of course improving. CARDAMOM IS THE BEST SPICE EVER

@@EastMeetsKitchen really not too interested in stuff like chocolate chip cookies or mac and cheese. We've been through all that, you know? Even vegans or people who severly limit animal products get food fatigued, you know? This is good, Please keep it up. I'll stop by later and let you know if I make cardamom rolls. If you want to make the cardamom buns a little "fancier", we usually add whole cardamom seeds in the paste or sprinkled on top for additional crunch and cardamom goodness. On another note, this Friday is what we call the cinnamon bun day Sweden. I guess you need to make some cinnamon buns soon as well :D

East Meets Kitchen no no, I literally can’t 😅 I’m waiting to get surgery on one of my pinky fingers. I literally can’t use my right hand too much because it hurts so much 😂 that’s why I’m considering buying a stand mixer 😬
