Vegas Golden Knights select Jonathan Marchessault and Reilly Smith from the 2017 Expansion Draft 

The Las Vegas Golden Knights selected Jonathan Marchessault and received Reilly Smith + a 4th-round pick from the Florida Panthers during the 2017 Expansion Draft.
Those picks are now coming back to haunt the Panthers 6 years later, as they face the Golden Knights in the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals.
