Vegas Man Explains Why He Thinks He Was Framed for Reporter’s Murder

During cross-examination, Robert Telles was asked about why he thought he was framed for murder. Prosecutor Christopher Hamner went through a list of possible people who may have allegedly framed him and Telles confirmed or denied why they would be likely to frame him. Telles repeatedly said in his testimony that he was framed and he is innocent.

Robert Telles is accused of murdering Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German. After German had written several articles about Telles, a public administrator at the time, he was found stabbed to death outside his home in September 2022. Prosecutors claim Telles’ DNA was found under German’s fingernails. Telles has pleaded not guilty and says he was framed for the murder.

Yes he's got attorneys but ethically they can't go along with what they know or strongly suspect to be lies, thus why he gave his testimony in narrative form rather than the usual Q&A form. So he gives his evidence, the prosecution get to cross examine him and his attorneys mainly sit on their hands until that's done and then the case will continue.

Think about all that would need to have occurred for someone to have framed him. They would have had to steal his wife's truck with no one noticing, practiced Telles' walk, cut up the clothes, hat and shoes and broke into Telles' home to stash them under his couch. They would have also needed to get Telles' DNA and planted it under the victim's finger nails, and hacked his phone and uploaded pics of the victim's home and surrounding area.

I totally believe Robert Telles that he was framed for the alleged crime, and that the police planted the DNA under the alleged victim's fingernails. There is literally no evidence, other than the planted fake evidence, of his involvement in the alleged crime. Hopefully the jury has the intelligence to see the obvious and declare Telles not guilty.
