@@popisolation What are you talking about? Vegeta left Goku completely unable to move in their first fight. Vegeta then went to fight two other fights with Krillin and Gohan. Goku lost, nearly died. The moment Vegeta survived the Kaioken x4 Kamehameha, Goku lost. He could barely move by that point.
Vegeta's anger held him back all these years and the fact he refused training with others...Goku did the opposite. For the last 3 years they have both trained with Whis and Beerus and Vegeta has let a ton of his hatred go...Now... Finally... they are even. Goku may be able to beat other enemies better than Vegeta forever and always...but Vegeta knows how to fight against Goku. That will keep him in the race!!!

Vegeta's never beat Goku. That first fight was never an officially sanctioned 1 v 1, no rule was established nobody else could interfere. That was an all out team battle war for the fate of the planet. The others all had just as much at stake as anybody, them joining in was fair game. Especially after they had to go through saibamen and Nappa before Vegeta. And in that type of battle, if your opponent can still contribute in any way to your defeat, you haven't defeated your opponent yet. And the fact is even while down Goku was still decisive in that fight. Even if he had to give it to Krillin, Goku still contributed that spirit bomb. If Goku were defeated they wouldn't have had it, and if they didn't have it they would have lost as Vegeta would've been left with more than enough strength still to repel even oozaru Gohan without getting crushed under him. That fight was team Goku vs team Vegeta, and team Vegeta certainly didn't win. As for their second fight it is BLATANTLY spelled out for you why that isn't a Vegeta win either. Majin boo revived. Goku was distracted by Majin boo's revival. Vegeta wanted Goku focused on their fight. Vegeta blatantly agreed to put their fight on hold to remove the distraction. Vegeta only knocks Goku out at this point, per his own words, because he can't stomach the possibility Goku would come out as the hero of the hour again, so he kept Goku out of the fight. Vegeta even states as he leaves that they'll continue later. That fight was undeniably left inconclusive. Vegeta was trying to prove his strength. He wasn't about to sully it by having to resort to a cheap shot like that. His pride and ego would never allow him to consider that victory. As for their latest fight, I'm sorry but that one is blatantly a stalemate. No matter how exhausted Goku may have been (Vegeta clearly being JUST as exhausted) you can't tell me honestly that that limp wristed love tap at the end legitimately beat Goku. No, Goku blatantly saw they fought to stalemate but knew this was way more important to Vegeta than it was to him and blatantly gave Vegeta that "win"

Even as a diehard goku fan I’ve seen vegeta get sidelined or given the short end of the stick so many times it’s annoying. Every victory he gets is just so damn satisfying. His character in itself is so well done, idk why he’s getting fucked by the story this much
Vegeta left Goku broken and in a full body cast after their first fight he couldn’t move and even said I can’t beat this guy he is to strong if it wasn’t for Yajirobe cutting Vegeta’s tail and krillin with Gohans help Goku would have died the second fight Vegeta walked up behind him and knocked him out cold people may not like it but that’s a win for for Vegeta and if this is their third fight and he won then this would make it 3-0 for Vegeta plain and simple

Vegeta need his time in the spotlight. He deserves his own power arc again. He's grown alot and deeply cares for others, despite his pride. There was a time I felt like him becoming stronger would've made him lose that progress but now, it's alot harder to say

Tell me you don't understand how traditional monarchs work without telling me you don't know how traditional monarchs work. Theres no one to crown him as king other than Goku who is the only other full blooded sayin in their universe. Goku, with no title or tie to the monarch cannot name him as king, and theres no one else other than vegeta himself (which vegeta could name himself king but what would even be the point in taking on the new title of king if there no one to rule over)

Even though it was the last part, vegeta winning against goku was probably my favorite part of that movie. I absolutely loved the whole movie but seeing that was perfect

I mean, being both friends and rivals allows them to train and struggle with a specific goal: to beat the other. In their simultaneous, relentless pursuits of strength, they both became stronger, inspiring the other to become EVEN stronger to try and best the other, back and forth over and over, spurring them to greater heights than any simple enemy could force them to. In a way, they are working together.
Vegeta went all out in base because he wanted to beat goku so bad but goku base is still so strong Vegeta knew that,that’s why he went full power, goku was still holding back

In terms of what? Since beginning and through all of Z Goku's been consistently stronger. And it's only just in that last fight in Super did Vegeta become just par with Goku. In base anyway.
