It would be so cool if Frieza defeated Goku in the new movie and Vegeta has to reach deep and hit some kind of crazy new transformation and finally gets to save the day, against his worst enemy no less. It would be such an awesome twist, like the old animated Transformers movie. You could even have Vegeta profess his true friendship with Kakarot thinking he's dead only to have Goku come back in the end when Frieza is defeated, after being mistakenly thought of as dead or something. It would never happen, but man would I love that. Vegeta deserves his "Gohan" moment. It would truly be an epic character arc that comes comes full circle and illustrates what can be brilliant about extended storytelling.

Vegeta can probably go ssj 3 but he saw how energy consuming it was and tried to focus on becoming stronger in his ssj 2 state then waste loads of energy and for it to only last a few minutes he certainly has the power to go ssj 3 though

If Vegeta ever went Super Saiyan 3 he'd be even stronger than Goku. It's a fact. The reason Goku keeps achieving each successive state of Super before Vegeta is because Goku started from a lower power level. Goku was a young child he had a power level of 10. Vegeta at the same age was seen to already be strong enough to kill Saibamen who have 1,200. Now you can say "power levels are bullshit they even say so" uuhh they kind of don't but kind of do matter. Power level means raw strength. In real life, you can beat someone stronger than you are if you're faster, if you can do fighting techniques they cannot, or if you out-think them. But power levels, just like physical strength in the real world, do have an effect on a fight. Back to the point, when Goku and Vegeta are both at the same stage of Super, as it is now, Vegeta is in fact stronger. For example, Super Vegeta in Battle of the Gods is briefly able to become even stronger than Super Saiyan 3 Goku (this is when Bills fucks with his Earth Woman). I honestly believe if they let Vegeta become a Super Saiyan God he could match Bills, instead of Goku who was only able to exhaust 70% of Bills power.

I love this remix, I know some have complained about the guitars not being that "good" but I grew up liking 8-bit/16-bit music so this has a retro feel to me. ^_^" I know you don't particularly like it or think it's that good though, so I was wondering, have you considered re-doing it with "better instruments" so it sounds like something you'd be proud of?

If really should have been Gohan though. The main theme of the show was Gohan's ascension to being a hero. Which is why Goku spent so much time off screen with everyone waiting for him to come save the day. And when he finally couldn't (cell), Gohan realized his inner strength and took the hero's place.

It was. He told Goku that he wanted Babidi to "release the evil that was in my heart" and Goku replied, "Do you really believe what you're saying?" Vegeta lied to himself. That's the point I'm making: becoming Ssj has nothing to do with being pure of heart and neither does ssjG

Vegeta was considered a pure hearted Saiyan after he sacrificed himself to attempt to beat fat Buu. That final explosion was the combination of Vegeta's power and evil released at once. So the theory goes.

@tsak14 I think his pride did keep him going and made him stronger, but at the same time held him back from SSJ3. We never saw anybody *snap* and go SSJ3. From Goku's wording(Haven't had much time to practice this one), he apparently used SSJ3 before in the Other World.

He was. He was brought back to King Yenma because Buu was causing so much trouble that they needed Vegeta's help. He killed himself to save millions but that doesn't make up for the billions he killed beforehand. He had Babidi release the evil because he didn't like how he'd settled down on Earth. He wouldn't have held back against Goku even if he didn't turn into Majin Vegeta because he's so determined to beat him.

Vegeta And Gohan Always Get Epic Themes

Majin Vegeta was not exactly a lie. Vegeta had a goal (defeating Goku), and letting Babidi cast his spell on him was a means to achieve said goal. All part of the plan. He was strong enough to control himself from Babidi's commands. And being pure of heart has nothing to do with becoming SSJ, as we obviously see in DBZ. Becoming SSJ is more of a catharsis.
