A 16 minute compilation of vehicles we saw throughout the 2018 Detroit Gambler 500. This is only a portion of the 813 registered vehicles, but I tried to capture the weirdest of the weird. Sorry if we missed you! I'm still going through the mud and off road footage and will post those videos soon!

More like Joe Dirt cars..... Mad Max cars are the way they are because they're in a fantasy world of limited resources... these cars are real and people actually drive abominations like these every day in the great states of Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi....cause they think they're cool.

What state are you in? The Gambler 500 has spread pretty far in a few years. Unfortunately there's not one in Ohio yet.

Every once in a while you'll find good dirt cheap cars. I mean, my aunt just gave my friend and I two old Subaru Legacies for us to work. They're both completely trashed, but we think we can make em run.

Michigan and Ohio are pretty lax about turds on the road. I'm sure a cop could have pulled a lot of these guys over if he wanted to, but for the most part if your lights work and your car isn't dragging on the road, they leave you alone.

@@ClappedOutGarage Definitely check out the next Detroit Gambler 500. It's usually at the end of April. I think some other surrounding states have them now as well, IN and PA. I know TN does but unsure about KY.

From what I've heard, some people will use the same car multiple years in a row and add a little bit more every time. It's not 100% by the book, but I feel like it's still in the spirit of the event. Idk, I'll be partaking for the first time this year, and we got our truck for $500, but that didn't include title and plates, so we're over $500 for the grand total.

Lol my car is 7 seconds in. 200 dollars with 300,000 miles and a possible blown head gasket. All decorations and hard wood flooring was free. Best 200 bucks I ever spent too

Yeah, US Salvage posts on their FB page when they get a retired Gambler. Surprisingly, a good number of these are still on the road. There's a Gambler 500 Michigan FB page for those who gamble year round.
