@@foxy.y Streamers themselves are entertainers. A commodity. They create entertainment for you and are paid on that basis. They have zero obligation to be genuine, and I think anyone that feels "betrayed" or anything by that is clearly trying to form a deeper connection than necessary with said streamer. They are not your pal, they don't have to be real with you. It's very much a parasocial idea to demand a streamer be genuine. It's fine to like genuine streamers MORE and have that be your preference, but to act like them putting on an act is some kind of betrayal or a deception is weird parasocial behavior. In summary, they don't owe it to you to be genuine, you aren't their friend or anything. They're only there to entertain you, that's it.

Face reveal is a good card to have lying around in case of surprises, such as a charity stream where you either play the face reveal card to occupy a high donation slot, or suffer the high donation slot being filled with something less desirable, like, having to level a hc warrior to 60 in classic era wow or eat surströmming.

im new to the world of live streamers, but im curious... why are vtubers so afraid to be on cam? almost like theyre vampires being exposed to sun. is it because they dont want to break that wall of emersion for their viewers? i find it a little strange but then again i believe i am what you might call a "normie"
she did post a picture of herself already some time ago but maybe she doesn't have makeup right now and doesn't wanna be seen like that and also the less she shows herself = the less people know how she look = the less chance someone will recognize her. (for example: i seen ninja once and can recognize him again with 70% certainty)

Streamers get constantly harassed, sexualised, stalked, deaththreats, judged, especially women. Some pay thousands of dollars every month so that the deepfakes people created get taken down.
It's usually insecurity with ones self image, which is an unfortunately common issue for many people. All Vtubers I've seen IRL pictures of are gorgeous people.
I don't know if it's an act like most streamers do, but this girl sounds insufferable. Heard her threaten to break up with him when she doesn't get her own way a couple times too, classic abusive and manipulative behaviour.
@@drifterxexe right but she was really just being overdramatic in this video, triggered me that Chance had to repeat himself 20 times that no one would see her angle because she was worried about her "feet" which we wouldn't have been able to see anyway. Like I hate how she makes him repeat himself for no reason because shes just extra.
