It has some kinda vibe I can't quite put my finger on it. I think anime fits but it has that early 2000s clean melody guitar thing going for it. It takes me years back man.
@Theplayboymaster You do realize that the song Lucy by Veil of Maya is about Lucy from Elfen Lied an anime? Mikasa is literally a reference to Attack on Titan anime and Nyu another reference to Elfen Lied. Bruh I'm clearing it before the band makes a fool out of you cause they are clearly fans of anime enough to name their songs after them. Stah closed minded bruh anime is legendary and always will be. DROPS MIC
@Theplayboymaster I dont even know why I'm wasting my breath with a douchebag named the play boy master like say that name to yourself in the mirror and see how dumb you sound.
@@myself3209 I mean I get it, the older music will never get worse it will stay amazing... But imagine new material with the style that they made with Brandon... It's like the new bmth telling people just listen to the old stuff and don't bother attending their live sets because they play mostly their soft shit.. just cry yourself to thought of what they could've been... I understand change but I disagree with some bands that changed
The blast beats and everything sounds so much cleaner. Its almost like a whole different band that plays so much cleaner and on time, I fucking love this new album.
Personally I find that part really awesome as well. The melodic riffs show some melodic death metal influences, but they don't sound too mainstream like other melodeath-inspired riffs. The rest of the album has melodeath influences as well. This could mark a transition from the monotony of VoM's earlier works to a more dynamic fusion of melodic and technical death metal. I would expect that in their future releases.
straight up, i just wish 0:17 - 0:57 kept going! its soo perfect i can never find other bands who can nail such sick riffs without getting all mainstream metalcore or getting too technical. veil of maya just hits that sweet spot of balancing technicality and melody! cant wait to order their tank top lol :p
try the latest albums from Gorod (A Perfect Absolution) & Erra (Impulse). those albums are masterpiece. it has a great blend between technicality & melody
Damn, haha i know how it is dude that's why i just have a solo thing but i want to be able to play shows and stuff eventually so i need a drummer, bassist and vocalist and another guitarist would be nice haha
I guess anyone who even uses the word mainstream in even the slightest negative way is hipster nowadays! But i agree wit your older posts, that part is totally killer
I am better at drums than anything since I've been playing for 6 years, but I think my vocals could be good for a starting band. But yeah, I've been looking to form up a prog deathcore group for awhile, but there aren't a lot of people I know that are into this type of music or they can't play an instrument either way, so I am going to have to wait till I am out of NC in a couple of years lol.
