@Ryan James They didn't know how big the actual raptors were before they were about to release Jurassic Park in 1993. When Michael Chricton first wrote the Jurassic Park novel, no one knew much about dinosaurs. There's even a quote in the book that says: "...Dinosaurs were really just massive birds covered in leather", which we know now that's not true, because most of them had feathers.

Exotic Pet keeper Stan Winston no longer exists. You mean Legacy. And the suits that were created for the original Jurassic Park were incredibly expensive and difficult for the actors to be in. They were hunched over inside and there was no ventilation. It isn’t reasonable to ask an amusement park actor to go through that.
