Velux awning blind itzala how to fit

Here im showing how to fit a velux awning blind I bought from ebay (itzala). Was the cheapest I could find. Had some trouble as brackets A are shown to be correct, but caused the blind not to shut but reading on through the instructions I discovered I needed to swap for brackets D in this case. That fitted a treat. Works on the fire scape velux to as we have one. Takes 10mins to fit as very easy to do. Hopefully this should cool down the room and will make it quieter when it rains. The glass gets very hot in sunny weather causing room to heat up so this should help shade the glass.
I bought off their ebay shop.

Thank you for this video. The instructions provide by Velux were terrible. Your instructions were perfectly clear. The downside is that the awning itself doesn't provide that much cover

Thank you very much Wayne for this generous gift of your time and expertise. The Velux picture instructions were incomprehensible, while yours gave much more of an idea of what to do. My morning has been 2 hours trying to understand, then 20 minutes to actually fit. Very helpful to tell us to remove and throw away those mystery wooden blocks.

Excellent, thanks for this, spent 15 mins not understanding the instruction booklet, then found this video and had the blind fitted inside 10 mins. Great job, many thanks!

Thanks. Great instructions! Having now fitted the diagrams do make more sense; but video is best bet for first time fitting!

Thank you for this helpful video. I'm thinking of ordering some of these to help with the noise of the torrential rain we're having these days. Do you find these helped to reduce the noise of rainfall on the windows at all?

Thanks im looking into getting these. But my window is quite long and it won't stay in a fixed position so i don't think i could install the hooks from the inside.

PS -I found that my instructions said I needed bracket A for a GGL blind. 20 minutes of faff later I realised it was actually bracket C that fitted. So try them all out!

Thank goodness. Those diagrams it came with didn't make a lick of sense to me. My new issue is that birds have started crapping on my sky windows. Not sure how to clean the blinds when it eventually happens

I'm a big fan of white vinegar and water as a cleaner or buy cleaning vinegar and use neat or a third water in spray bottle. That will work giving it time to soften
