Hats off to these guys for playing a small crowd for whatever reason (likely charity or corporate gig), but not “phoning it in” and putting the big stage energy into a small venue
I like what you had to say they're man, such a sad, sad loss for this guy. Like you said somebody with so many demons, drugs just destroyed him such a massive talent. There used to be several major talented Seattle bands, with major lead vocalist, they're are all gone now, only Eddie Vedder is still Standing R.I.P. Curt, Scott, Layne, Chris, & even though he wasn't in a Seattle band Chester, may you all find peace, your voices shook things up, changed music forever.

I remember reading comments of people not liking Scott I’m so sad he’s gone but that also made some people realise how great he was, in my opinion one of the most versatile singers of his time, not mention an amazing song writer but also INSANE FRONTMEN FASHION ICON !! R.I.P SCOTT THE LEGEND !
Definitely my favorite frontman lead singer of all time. We miss you Scott… it’s crazy the first time I’ve seen this show is now 11-12 years later. I never was on time for anything. lol… I missed a couple band auditions because of my tardiness, oops…
Thank you for this. They look and sound so good here it is hard to believe they were starting to fragment behind the scenes. They were one hell of a super group. I saw them two times live during the Contraband tour and two times live during the Libertad tour. They really were a perfect combo. Hard as F.
The band coming from a separate door than Scott was a huge tell. I also saw them both tours (though once on each). Contraband show was lightning in a bottle. Pure magic. The Libertad show was them going through the motions. I had a similar experience seeing STP on multiple occasions. Bummer Scott struggled as much with demons. RIP

Amazing band. Lucky I was fortunate enough to see them twice, once in a small club in Miami Beach. They put on a great show both times. Scott was one hell of a talent that is still missed today.
I wish I did. I ran into diff and Scott at the airport once in San Antonio. Their flight landed about 45 minutes before their show. lol. They cut it close
Abso ‘friggin’ lutely! The man (when he was on top of his game) just friggin’ ruled the stage, the fans, entire crowd, Arena etc etc... God, he was simply just a rock messiah on the 🎤!!! Ah damn, how badly missed, he is w/out question!
Saw them on the Contraband tour. To say they were incredible would be an understatement. Brightest stars, burn out the fastest. Scott was a terribly troubled soul, but damn he was a hell of a frontman.
Agreed Mate! I was at a Contraband show and what a great show it was. I was at a STP show a little while after that. Scott had a real hard time getting to the stage for the STP show and the rest the band was doggin' on Scott during the show. Something had really decayed with the band and with Scott in a short amount of time. Such a loss, like so many lives lost to the demon's. It is great to have these old videos to remember their swagger and talent.
Great great great bass sound! Duff sounds here like he always should sound. It's a great sound the whole mix, despite of being a 2007 internet stone age video
@@jesselugo8050 This was years ago when MySpace was a thing. I was a fan and entered a raffle. Got picked for me and a plus 1 to come to the show. It was fucking amazing.
Excelente banda.
I saw stone temple pilots ..live back in the day..with also linkin park..great show..both singers are dead now..makes me sad..such great singers...glad a i saw them both.
Scott holds up the band, looking awkward in front of the audience for a few, before he comes strolling through the emergency door from the back lot, where he was vacuuming the cocaine from the trunk of his dealers car. I loved Scott so much, but his demons absolutely got the best of him. His problem was that he had no peer support. If his friends helped him, rather than judge, and shame him, he would probably still be alive today.
Scott really was one of the best voices and front man that ever lived. Michael Monroe from Hanoi Rocks is another great front man who doesn't get enough attention .
I could feel something not right with the guys when Scott didn't enter with the band from the left... Scott came in from outside door on the right....I got past the awkward feeling as soon as they started..holy shit!.. amazing set.... thanks for posting this epic session....
I dare say Velvet Revolver was a much better band than StoneTemple Pilots. I liked their hard edged rock songs. Alas their time was too brief due to "band Issues." But I also like STPs music. One of a kind front man, incredibly talented, incredibly flawed. I hope he is truly at peace, where ever it is we go when we die.
mmm not really man, like, you can't compare them, it's like if i compared nirvana and foo fighters, any of them is "better" they are just different and they do their own, velvet revolver tended to make hard rock whereas stp was more like grunge and melodic rock. I suggest you to listen enough stp and then create a deeper opinion about it
@sallgood I know man... And now it's even worse with everyone making sure they film the damn concert with their iPhones... Ya know... To recall the entire thing since they missed it because they were watching their battery and texting
there are people who have survived airplane accident, others have won the lottery, others have survived to shark attacks, and these people who attended to this concert
