The cert was deactivated due to fraudulent copies being known to exist but that particular slab may have not been fake.

He definitely looks suspicious. He lit up thinking he's got a sale but when the vendor said hold up you can tell the seller knew the jig was up. Also, we can't disregard the initial first guy asking for the psa 10 one, might be coincidence but it's definitely fishy.

Wooooah. I just looked back at his initial reaction when the vendor said it might be fake. I noticed his facial expression didn't change much and he nodded UP AND DOWN! Then I imagined what my reaction would be if someone said a card I was selling was fake. Take a second to consider this yourself. What would happen to your face if someone claimed your $3300 card was fake. Your neck would probably flinch back, your eyebrows would immediately furrow, and maybe if you shook your head at all it would be side-to-side (like "NO WAY!") not up-and-down (which signifies agreement).

I had a card get its cert deactivated in 2021, mine was legit and got reslabbed by psa when i sent it back. It doesn’t necessarily mean the seller’s card was fake. Psa deactivated it without my knowledge due to a fake slab floating around.

Yeah, I really wish PSA listed a reason as to why the card was deactivated. I’ve seen very cheap slabs for sale that were deactivated which I can only assume they were stolen, but it’s possible they were not… how am I supposed to know..?

You can easily tell a fake slab from an authentic PSA slab - if you handle PSA slabs frequently.

Anyone thinking he didn't know, he 100% knew. The moment he said let me scan it real quick he had a subtle shift in his facial expression where he went from a genuine smile to an expression where his smile had immediately dropped but he attempted to try to keep it going (this actually ended up leaving him with what basically looked like an "oh crap face") On top of this his rapid eye blinking that also happened at the same time (which had not been a thing prior to this) is a sign of his anxiety spiking. He totally knew and he absolutely knew he was rumbled

Another thing I noticed with the fake psa cases is that the red border along the top of the slab is off colored compared to the the red on the real ones. It’s hard to tell on their own but if you have a real one to do side by side comparison you will immediately see that the red colors don’t match. Idk what it is but red is one of the hardest colors to match that honestly might be why psa chose to use it as the color for that border 🤷‍♂️

Just a heads up, ive had some cards not scan on the PSA app that i've opened and graded myself. It can be weird sometimes, doesn't always mean the card is fake if it doesn't pull it up. I had a whole batch screwed up for a while until I called.

If the guy in the beginning asking about that card was 100% organic, that's one hell of a coincidence. The seller did look like they were intentionally selling a fake. Unless you got cash coming out your ass, finding out a card of yours that pricey is fake would not leave one that calm and collected upon hearing the news.

guys were in together, notice how second dude pulled out his heat to get them interested but held a 3k card until he specifically brought it up, then went "well... which one? the orange or?" gets confirmation on what his buddy asked for so he pulls it out... super sketch and nice catch.

I was onboard at first he didn’t know. But it all comes crashing down with the last thing Rattle said. Him returning claiming to sell it for 80 bucks says it all. You need to file a claim to get your money back and you sell the evidence to that claim? You never know if your bank or CC may need the card in a lawsuit and thus request it back during the chargeback claim. Most likely it wouldn’t happen but still.

What if the vendor made up the part about the guy coming back later and saying he sold it for $80 so that he could get a feature on your channel and grab more followers? Not to be that guy, but earnestly, you have to be open to the possibility that if being a vendor victim is trending in the poketuber algorithm there could be bad actors exaggerating or adding additional facts that may not be entirely true, for clout, features, and follows. It's moderately convenient that the biggest nail in the coffin has zero video evidence. To be clear, I'm not siding with anyone here, simply playing devil's advocate to help you steal-man your position. So don't just disregard me as a defacto hater whose just biasly diametrically opposed. I don't disagree with accountability finding in the card community, but it's important to keep in mind vigilantism is also illegal for a purpose. As tunnel vision can cloud thinking outside of the box fact finding or evidence gathering and leave otherwise innocent people looking guilty. Which opens the doors to civil litigation as well, especially if the person isn't a public figure. Hopefully you take this comment in kind, I do enjoy your content, this may be a criticism, but there's a saying that goes something like "Yes-men roll the red carpet out to your grave". By that I mean, there will be people who fan-boy and side with you no matter what, even when you're missing the mark or wrong. Which will reinforce that false belief and potentially send you down a wreckless path against your own good. With that being said, I'm only human, I could be in the wrong here, and if I am, disregard. Just figured I'd share my thoughts.

I dont know. I think he probably just didn't know. There are a lot of people who get scammed when they buy graded slabs all the time. There are some very good fakes out there now. Some folks buy stuff out of good faith from eBay and marketplace and get scammed. Unfortunately, this stuff happens. If he purchased with paypal and a credit card, i could see why he wouldn't be worried because he knows he can get his money back. But also, at the same time, when buying higher value cards, it is definitely wise to do your homework.

alot of my 64 cert numbers on pokemon have the same corners as those, compared to the later certs that are much sharper. I wounder if it was just how they moulded it back then i have no idea. My cards are cheap, litreally nothing special.. just stuff that i pulled as a kid and then bought in a 10 years later. Again nothing expensive so i dont think ive got dodgy graded stuff. Fingers crossed.

there's no way you can tell, other than scanning the QR code. I have both these as a PSA 10 and looking at the fake vs the Real ones is extremely minimal. Just best advice is to scan the QR code.

Your videos wouldn’t be so “in depth” if you stopped repeating the same thing 3-4 times before pressing play. I understand the actual useful info you provide but man it gets very annoying at times. This could have been a 15 minute video max.
