@@EchtMartijn we have explained it. RU-vid is killing the average view per video the more videos we release. It was either fire part of the team, which we don't want to do, or put the videos behind the paywall to avoid affecting the algorithm negatively. Amazing how the Venetian navy clashed with the Muslim navies in a battle between one of the most important religious powers of the time. That would be somewhat understandable in the case of Byzantium, but what the meek Catholic populace of Hungary's Zara castle have done against Venice except having some loot? :D And in this video too, Venice organizes a crusade, then stops for a year to besiege some fort on Corfu on the way for its own gains until its own crusaders start deserting and the crusader states message them that it would be nice if they finally did some, you know, crusading stuff :D Lol I think there are a number of more devout and zealous Christians nowadays than there were in Venice back then and hey, then it was the norm that everyone is just a heathen-bashing fananatic zealot

In my opinion Venice is a remnant of Rome. Its historical origins, architectural influence, cultural richness, political heritage, and integration with Roman culture all contribute to its undeniable connection to Rome. Venice's foundation in response to the fall of the Western Roman Empire, its resemblance to Roman urban planning and architecture, its inheritance of Roman cultural and artistic traditions, its development as an independent city-state with a similar political system, and its integration into the Roman province of Venetia et Histria all highlight its role as a remnant of Rome. In fact Venice is not just a remnant, but a vibrant embodiment of Rome's influence, preserving its legacy through the ages.

I find it impressive that private military orders carved out their own sovereign states back in the Middle Ages. The only thing similar to that nowadays, are the military mercenaries, Wagner virtually ruling much of Niger and Black Water running Southern Yemen likes it is its own fief.

Crusaders hold the Most Humiliating military defeat in human history. They lost a whooping 11 successive major wars (2nd to 12th Crusade) against the Muslims spanning few centuries. There will be no other army that will lose 11 successive major wars against the same opponent.
