Hello. I was born in Miami. I am now 66 years old. My mother would drive us to the pool many times after church. This is where I learned to swim. My mother would sit at the tables while I tried to swim/I was pretending. 2 feet deep seemed like 8 feet back then. I never made it to the falls because I couldn’t swim full yet. However, I am a good swimmer now, and I intend to come back for a visit. Thank you for this video.
My grandmother’s house was just a few blocks from there, and I have great memories of going there as a kid. Thanks for bringing back such great memories.
I just heard about this lovely pool. A vid talking about life before air conditioning in Florida brought me here. One of the women remembered riding her bike to the Venetian Pool to cool off and what a marvelous experience it was.
Thank you❤ I grew up there and would go there when I was a teenager! Alot of memories! Now I'm 63, and since I'm moving back to the area, I will be sporting my new swimwear there very soon..
I lived a mile or so away when I was 10-15 years old. My family went there often to swim. The grotto was so fun and there was a hole in one of the coral pillars that we swam though. Diving off the lower and high dives! It was never crowded back then, a secret gem
Me too!! Lol I was a 10 yr old who swam what felt like a mile across the pool and the waterfall at the end almost got me... not a place for a kid to be left alone
Have you visited the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables? Do you think it is worth the price of admission? jentheredonethat.com/weekend-coral-gables-florida/
