Saphir Renovateur is a close second, but it's more expensive that Venetian and it performs the same in my opinion.

Venetian leather balm is great. I use it on boots, shoes, belts, leather bags, and even watch straps. Very versatile and leaves leather moisturized and soft.

William, thank you for your videos. They are informative and useful at the same time. I prefer boots to shoes and like you, have the same brands as in your collection. I have been using Saphir Renovateur with success, but recently purchased Venetian shoe cream, not having used it yet. After watching this video, I will be motivated to use the Venetian product. It is less expensive than Saphir, and your information shows its effects. It would most useful if your ambient lighting were brighter so watching your demonstrations would be clearer to follow. Perhaps you could put an overhead fixture in place, even if temporarily for the video productions. Thank you again. DJ

Very informative video with excellent content regarding the effectiveness of Venetian Shoe Cream. I’ve watched two of your videos over the past week and am glad I stumbled across your Channel. May I offer some constructive criticism? Yes? That’s great. Here goes. I like the fact that you fast forward through parts of the video which are very repetitive, such as the application of the cream and polishing of the boot. Nothing worse than getting bored while watching someone do the same thing over and over for 5 minutes or so. Anyway, as someone who has watched a number of videos regarding shoe/boot care, it’s my opinion that your content is right up there with some of the best on RU-vid. Good luck to you as you continue to grow your Channel...Ed

What is the difference between Venetian Shoe Cream and Venetian Shoe Balm?

The balm just has more wax in it 👍🏽 That gives slightly more liquid repellence and a bit more shine. More wax can also fill deep scratches more easily. But VSC and VSB are the same base formula.

Hi Will. Good day. All your videos are inspiring educational and just awesome content. Because of your insight and knowledge into boots. I pulled the trigger and bought my first 2 pairs of Grant Stone boots. Grant Stone field boots and Grant Stone Chromexcel. Is Venetian leather balm the only go too do it all for my boots???? Great video. I recently bought a tobacco-colored Thorogoods boots, this orange color is my obsession. What conditioner or what oil or cream do you suggest to hydrate and keep the leather in optimal condition without changing the color?

They are very similar but one is more concentrated than the other. Meaning you have to use less or of it, or else you risk adding too much. Otherwise they are the same ingredients from what I remember.

I didn't know 1000 Mile were available in No 8 Shell Cordovan. Sounds like a good affordable option vs. Alden or Viberg...

it's not actually shell cordovan. It's just called no 8 cordovan. It's good quality leather, but not shell cordovan quality. It's a very confusing name for sure

Horween just calls it Color #8, no cordovan, no shell, just Horween CXL color #8. Not trying to nitpick, simply setting the record straight. Color #8 is simply just that a color that Horween chooses to dye its various styles of leather. That’s ALL it is.
