Kreosote no way. That dude is milking his craft, and why not we are capitalists. But for me if I am paying $2gs and then wait for 2+ years, them boots better come with stormy wearing them in lingerie. That aside, I think his boots are bulky and are suitable for those in the “strong man” look which I am not personally. Red Wings, Wesco and Truman, all day everyday.
The title of the video is "Ranking 21 American Made Boot Brands from WORST to BEST" then at #14 you turn around and say "oh these are just my favorite American boot brands not the best." 👎
Due to lifelong Orthopedic problems and the need to put orthotics in my shoes, I went to Carmina's store locally at 45th St. in New York, hoping I could get fit with a quality pair of dress shoes that I could fit my orthotics into and wear comfortably. Instead, I was met by a pushy salesman who was just hellbent on selling whatever they had in stock. When I got home and double checked the Detroits he had sold me, I saw that my orthotics were in fact cutting into the sides of the shoes, and would in no time be damaging the linings. Although I could probably get a perfect pair of custom Carminas for myself, I can't trust this company anymore. I'm just taking these shoes back.
Finding shoes has been seemingly impossible for the last year. I've tried insoles, thick or double socks, heel cups, etc. and my instep is still WAY too low and there's always a good centimeter between my heels and the heels of my shoes. I should be a size 11.5 A width in mens or 13 3A in women's, but honestly, I've gotten completely different measurements from stores, so any direction would be nice. Also, every cobbler in the dfw area has told me they can't do anything for my shoes, so I'm not sure how realistic the last piece of advice is aside from just the cost.
After getting a newer pair, I at first wished my old pair were this shape. But after awhile I like having one that’s looser and more rugged looking to beat around and can keep the newer pair nice
"Sneaker size" is not necessarily your Brannock Size. Most athletic shoes are 1/2 to a full size larger than Brannock. Follow JKs fit guide. It is not quite "straight forward". Brannok size, subtract a whole size and use JK's width chart for your foot measurement. I wear a 9D in New Balance or Merrell's. Brannock is an 8.5 D. I wear a Nick's, Tony Lama Black Label, and Lucchese in 8.5 D. JK's fit guide says 7.5 EEE. I hope they fit... Just ordered some OTs last week.
I bought a pair of Navy Blue leather, with a different rubber sole. Ideal travel boots, acceptable for the occasional professional gig. They have true moccasin, wrap around the bottom of the ball of your foot comfort. No break in means comfort from the get go. And light! The newer sole may not be quite as cushy, but also isn't a dirt magnet. Recommended!
Greetings from Australia. RM Williams used to be known for their comfortable, quality boots. They issue them as dress boots to our military, but they have become some of the most painful boots to wear. After walking around in them for a day, your feet ache. They are probably the most purchased boots in Australia, mainly due to brand recognition rather than comfort. They are incredibly overpriced for what they are. Unfortunately, Ariat boots, which are now made in China, have started to dominate the Australian market despite being of poor quality, often described as "plastic fantastic garbage." For good quality western boots, one should look for products made in Mexico or the United States. I spoke to a cobbler who was resoling my Boulet boots from Canada. He had piles of RM Williams boots that couldn't be resoled because their internals are made of cardboard. Once these boots become damp or wet, the cardboard is ruined. RM Williams boots were, and still are, iconic in Australia, but this is more about brand recognition than quality.
I used Saphir's Médaille d'Or Renovateur and the Safir Protector waterproofing spray on my new suede boots..I wore them out and got a nasty oil stain on them..I thought this stuff protected them from oil?
I’ve never understood this. If your jeans don’t have 2+ inches of stacking, what’s the big deal? All the fashion people say the same thing, but my simple brain thinks it looks normal to just have slim cut jeans that end just below the top of the boot
i just got steel toe boots and i was wearing Hanes cotton socks and the left foot was fine but the right small toe was rubbing against something in the sock it felt like a piece of yarn stitching it was painful also my boots felt like they had sand in them or dirt but there wasn't any sand or dirt. i normally wear Dickies from Walmart but they are a bit thick so i was looking for a thinner pair now since it is summer. anyway i need to find a pair that will work with the steel toe boots those don't.
WAIT A Minute!!!!! What are you talking about? $200 $300 $500, For boots matching different outfits? You’re shiting right? Boots are for work !!boots shouldn’t be judged by how many different pairs of pants they match with they should be judged by how they perform on the job..I don’t know how a man can spend $500 for boots that are not meant for Work
