Hi, if you're interested so watch my previous comparison that includes Brazil. Brazil & Guyana vs Venezuela ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BjxXa8RzV34.html
UK was the one that invaded Esequibo, US the one who commited the fraud of Paris tribunal that gave UK the territory, and Brasil took some of the territory in exchange of military protection in order to get tto Guyana by land. If UK, US anfd Brasil meddle in the conflict, you´d have Russia, Iran, Cuba, Nicaragua, North Corea, India, helping VENEZUELA. Let´s see if US at last makes war that can reach it´s territory over a stolen territory that they provok3d.
I didn’t realize the disparities between the two armies. Guyana’s in big trouble. I’d like to see the region solve this and not the USA or Europe. Guyana should probably make a deal with Brazil- Protection for oil.
@@djgenius626 Look the real world is a tough place. You cant have trillions of dollars worth of natural resources and an Army the size of a large American high school defending that. I don't think people should need to lock their cars or house but thats is life.. thieves exist. Bad people exist. Guyana needs to make a deal with someone.
Brasil and venezuela are leaded by two left wings presiddnts,in fact venezuela and brazil relationship is very strongh. Brasil will never go to war with venezuela
I'm from Trinidad, we're right next door to Venezula. You think this is bad, total up all the Caribbean islands (Caricom members) and compare them to Venezula and you realize were screwed outside of diplomacy. I feel bad for Guyana and for my country as this potential invasion sets a dangerous precedent for us too, since we will be next eventually. The way I see it Guyana has three options: 1. Surrender to Venezula: Worst choice first, Guyana loses its oil wealth, its people will suffer. The only good thing is they survive. People (foreigners) need to understand something, Caribbean people are the progeny of the colonized. The mentality of that colonization from foreign powers in Europe, means that our culture is very docile. You won't see Caribbean protestors looting, burning or killing people like in the US and Europe, that is not our way (Haiti is a unique exception). If confronted with a foreign power invading us like it has happened before, we or in this case Guyana will fold and a new but familiar struggle to find a path under a new oppressor will occur and be no different from how the British would have treated them race wise. 2. Make a deal with the US: Very risky, the US position has gotten much weaker, they have a weak leader whom dictators the world over don't take seriously and have taken that position to invade or take an active interest in invading other countries. The only leverage the US has in negotiations to avoid a military conflict is to remove the economic sanctions on Venezuela and split some of the territory from Guyana to them, Maduro would probably ask they recognize his presidency but that won't happen. The American public have no interest in another war front, although this one is much closer to home. Their congress is deadlocked on providing more aid to Ukraine and Israel. Biden's popularity is low and a future Trump presidency is likely. The risk is that a Trump presidency can nullify the deal if he re-instates sanctions and we're back to square one. This is likely, Trump never removed the sanctions while he was in office, he plans to extract the oil within America and has no interest giving cash to a dictator to strengthen his position. Anybody who says France or Britain will come to aid militarily isn't paying attention in Global politics. Europe is divided, in the UK, their PM is struggling to keep his job, France and Germany have poor economic outlooks and their peoples have lost their appetite for sponsoring further conflicts. Brazil's total military might is slightly more powerful than Venezula, but outside of protecting their own borders, I don't see them willing to expend their entire military for a neighboring country, at least alone. 3. Make a deal with China: Sadly the Best Outcome. China is Venezuela's biggest source of Finance since the US sanctions hit them. You could say China supplies the money, and Russia the weapons to Venezuela. Xi has a way better chance of negotiating a deal with Maduro. He trusts him more than the US. China has every reason to assist, they would get a share of the oil and can create an administrative zone sharing the proceeds between Guyana and Venezuela. Xi would also celebrate this as a diplomatic victory over the US. The downside is Exxonmobil gets booted out as a condition and America loses its right to exploit the region with it going to China. America will hold this against them, China can be made to pay any legal fees to Exxonmobil for breaches in contract. In the future Guyana's sphere of influence maybe pushed to the BRICS and away from western influence, the outcome of that I can't predict. That's my thoughts, thanks for reading.
The Diplomatic pressure is too high now, and Maduro won't invade. I am pretty sure he won't invade. The Brazilian President is an excellent diplomat. He is trying to find a deal between both countries as we speak. They are planning to meet next week at the island of Saint Vincent. And by the way, your point of view is excellent...congratulations. !
I agree, I'm from Trinidad and I hope this serves as a wake up call for caricom, we need to militarize ourselves, having oil and gas for so long its sad Trinidad can't even protect itself we have no tanks, helicopters or battle ships, but if war begins caricom must step in and help defend Guyana.
looks bad on paper but Terrain should be considered as a factor for defense . Because of Terrain none of those vehicles (like tanks, APC's, self propelled artillery, etc.) cannot drive into Guyana. There are simply no roads and this area it is a dense mountainous rain forest
If we change Venezuelan country and rename it Guyana 🇬🇾 all the sanctions will be lifted and the country can make lots of money and the people will be happier than now think about it
Visit both countries and see the of Guyana. There´s more poverty and more crime in Guyana. Venezuela has amazing infrestructure, several Big citis, highways, ports, airports, dams, bridges and skyscrapers. Guyana is like a poor african country with foreing oil companies that keep 90% of earnings and Guyana's people almost nothing... Foreign workers earrn more. Venezuela has the biggest oil reserves in the planet, 7th in natural gas, biggest gold reserves in LATAM, also has bauxite, coper, silver, iron, diamonds, uranium and coltán. Venezuela had a crisis that ended 4 years ago, before that it has been the richest country of latam for over a century and it has recovered since 20119. By the way, Venezuela is claiming Esequibo, wich IS NOT part of Guyana. Read the Genneva accords of 1966 wich Guyana signed befored being declared a country.
Not really, look at the difference in country sizes. Guyana has only emerged out of economic crisis within the last 2 decades. Most if the money earned was spent on infrastructure and building a stable economy. Only now that we are somewhat stable that we are trying to invest into the military. Also as a side note there was never any real threat to Guyana before. We also HAD good relations with Venezuela but under Maduro they have become very aggressive
I am Guyanese and they are stronger than us but one or two crucial problems you forgot to mention is that between Guyana and venezuela is thick jubgle for hundreds of miles so no tanks trucks towed armuor can get through this is not the ukrine where its flat, so we Guyanese know the teritory like the back of our hands, so venezulia can never come through there, and the only other way is if they came up through the south, then we would be in trouble, but they have to pass through Brazil, and the brazilians will wet their panties recover and give mudero one big kick out of Brazil, but since then we have bought more arms, may be includeing himars with drones and satillite help from the british and Americians but the elephant in the room you did not mention is venezuela is bankrup and starving plus they will run out of ammo sooner or later, they have 2 suppliers which are Iran and Russia and we know the problems there
War is bad, they should avoid it by all means. Let the land be divided 50/50 or 40/60 so that each side will go home with something as their stories about ownership are not entirely false. Each side has an authentic piece of history to support their claims and it is actually, very honestly, difficult to say who the true owner is. Guyana should go for peace and lose some and Venezuela should accept peace and go home with some. Anything else will be blood letting and inhumane.
Did Guyana see this coming without waiting need to have a draft for all men under 25 and emergency call up for all able body men under 59 don't depend on United States to protect them they must now know this no joke
What a shame to see Guyana is such a small and weak state and Maduro wants to fight for their land all because of greed. Venezuela was getting so much oil and the leaders squandle the money. Now they fighting tiny Guyana.. Shame...
What part of Guyana is a muslim country? This is a multi- racial and multi religious country. Clearly you dont know anything about this country, please do some research before you comment
Venezuela is completely and irretrievably bankrupt. It has no money, whatsoever, for military operations. It's airforce is virtually grounded due to lack of spare parts, munitions and jet fuel. It's navy is derelict. And I'd bet my bottom dollar that most of it's armoured vehicles are non operational, most of its soldiers are virtually untrained and even basic kit like first aid kits, ammunition and field rations are in chronic shortage. In short.....the Venezuelan military wouldn't be able to fight its way out of a paper bag. You can't run a military for free. Venezuela is a bankrupt, paper tiger.
You is a gambler and a gambler is thief and a thief is a murderer .all out war destroy I don't mind but in be half don't do onto others that what you don't like others to do onto you .
If them was more up than war and diplomacy is not over run they are scared of me much less gamblers I dud not tell waste your money get lost and be gone disgust me !
If vietnam can resist USA , if Ukraine can resist Russia, if hamas still trying to resist isreal then without any help Guyana can resist Venezuela.. RECENT WARS SHOWED US NUMBERS DOESN'T MATTERS... GOOD STRATEGY AND HUGE RESISTANCE BY BRAVE COMMON CROWD MATTERS... NO MATTERS WHATEVER COST IS TO BE PAID
en7tp well belive it or not Guyana has the advantage as we will not be fighting a big war but many small ambushes type of war so when venezuela with 100 000 man army v our 30 000 -50 000 army , then venezuela has to land on the coast in a port where there are roads which they will easily do, by parshute drop.but that is the brgining of their troubles, so they need to drive on the roads so how can they prevent ambushes? how can they build bases as when they start there will be long distance shelling, from Guyanese militaries with the help of drones and satillite help and british and americian will also hit the bases, so to house 100 000 men will be impossible ,and worst of all how is venezuela going to resupply ? I would say near impossible, the Guyanese army will fight with 10 men squads all over the place, so the longer the war goes on the harder it is for venezuela and the stronger Guyana will get.
@@amazonwarrior7126 You must be really really dumb. You watch to much movies . Venezuela has the 4 strongest airforce in latín américa. F16, Sukhoi 30 , K8 karkorum and Mirage for reserve. Guyana surrender in les than 24 hours. You funny guy
