And your videos are also easier to enjoy because you are actually able to communicate with your fellow venezuelans without major problems. The town on the coast (Where you are) is Puerto Colombia, Choroni is actually up the road a bit and the last "large" town you hit before reaching Puerto Colombia. I spent two summers there in the early 70's and those were some of the best summers of my life! Beautiful country, wonderful people! Back then it was not nearly as crowded and Playa Grande on a big day might have had 30 people on it. The bridge you crossed was not there back then, but a much small structure was and that is where we bathed in the evenings, in the river you crossed. Just on the other side of the bridge in the area to the right is where we set up camp and lived in tents. We built a sanitary facility (rest room) back in the brush area. It must have been raining in the mountains because the river was rarely that brown back then, only turned like that after a big rain.

I wish the government would take care of the land more. So much precious natural land and so much potential for much better conditions.

Hey bro. Great videos! I've been binge watching all week as I heal up from a fractured rib. I've always been fascinated with Venezuela for some reason - the history, the culture, the people, the beauty - but I have heard nothing but terrifying stories about people who try to travel there. Obviously you fit right in since you are literally from there and speak Spanish naturally. But how hard would it be for other Americans (especially fair skin gringos who only speak a little Spanish) to get by in Venezuela without risking their life. I don't think I have the courage to try it - so maybe I'll just stick to Colombia for now, but I'd really love to hear from you or some of your other viewers on this topic. Muchas gracias!
