It's a synthesis beast! Maybe even a bit too complex. Rare true VSTi workstation synth. Excellent job! I'm just not completely sure if the layers can be sent to different outputs? That is a must for serious production.
This is not complex. I just bought this last night and have managed to work my way round the basics already, without any manuals. If u want complex then go check out "Falcon", that's some complex next level shit right there
I would never spend any money on Nexus, I torrented it and still don't use it. It's shit. it's for morons with no brain. Nexus idiots want so much money for it. they are idiots!!!
Exactly, iv always felt Nexus is a Toy & refused to use it. The one they did before "Vanguard" is way more usable in my Opinion. Maby coz Nexus is a simple Rompler & Vanguard was an acual Synth like this.
I just downloaded it, and for some reason it keeps saying the library is not installed even though I already installed it. So I need to reconnect it every time I boot up, which it never does. seems like a good one but it is still very buggy (it just crashed my Live session) With so many choices that are very good and not as cpu hungry, people might be better off with Sylenth, Serum, Massive, etc. The way you can draw waves in Serum and upload your own is very good. For example you could get Serum +Massive (2nd hand on KVR) or Sylenth + Razor (2nd hand on KVR) instead of this synth.
It is only CPU hungry if you use a lot of effects and layers. It's really not that bad when you consider how powerful it is. Sure it consumes more CPU than Massive and Sylenth1 but those synths do not have as many layers playing at once. In terms of CPU load a simple patch in Avenger is very comparable to Serum, Razor, Omnisphere, Diva ect...
I wish the modulation was drag and drop like serum, otherwise it would look like the perfect synth. Sylenth 4 layers can get so much stuff done, plus the lowest CPU hit, of all, it is still by far one of the most usable synths
Really wanted to know what this synth is all about; still, after two takes on that video, I'm only 12 minutes through. Over-explaining everything fits into manual thing, but here it looks more like "we don't know who's gonna be watching, so let's do it hard to swallow for everybody". 33 minutes of incessant house beat is kind of annoying. And kind of boring. For most of us, except nerds - who, in contrast, don't need explanations about what wave is visualised and how to press that button. What is the maximum polyphony? What is CPU consumption and how can it be managed? Expanding capabilities? Oversampling options? Number of stock presets? Types of filters, distortion -- any unique ones? What is significantly changed for synth users? Basically any questions that could answer "why this and not Serum". Don't get me wrong, usually CM's hands-on are quite brilliant, they quickly show a lot of options available and give you the overall "idea" of a sound even if you're not keen to go into specs. Not in this case, though. I hope that isn't CM's fault.
Vospi you're obviously entitled to your opinion, but to complain they explained everything in depth seems a bit mean. A synth like this has so much packed into it it's gonna take some time to tell you. Agree the incessant generic house beat was a tad annoying but suspect it was there to contrast the effect each setting has in a way that different tracks wouldn't. TBH sounds like you would have been better off either reading/watching a review or a preset rather than a features walkthrough. Personally I think it looks amazing but having already been lucky enough to get omnisphere 2 and serum don't think there's anyway I can justify it to myself. If I didn't have those 2 synth would seriously be looking at this as my main synth purchase. Not trying to have a go at you just think CM is a quality mag and these types of videos are useful for either geeks (like me) or people who having bought the synth would rather watch a video than read a manual.
Have just picked up Omni2 and would like to know your thoughts on Avenger vs Omni2? Is there a similar degree of flexibility? I haven't had a chance to actually use Omni2 yet so still uncertain exactly what capabilities I have. I'm downloading an Avenger demo (thanks to Vengeance for providing that it's very handy to test and assess if you gel with the product before jumping).
I don’t agree. That’s quite a nice overview, and zooming on active buttons gives a good idea of the edit, even Vengeance doesn’t do it in their tutorials, you’ll find all the tutorials you need in Vengeance Sounds account. I bet you won’t watch them all🤬
All very nice, but you can not use any of these sequences in commercial projects, you can only show them to your friends, you can not publish tracks on Spotify, RU-vid, etc. all have copyright, I will buy Omnisphere with which I can use all the sounds commercially and legally without problems. Avenger and its use is Scam, you pay for something you can not publish.
we can't use the factory presets commercially or we can't use our own self-made presets commercially? because if it's the latter that's really really stupid (and unenforceable. how are they going to know whether i use the synth or not?)
@@iamnevrchange.9570 What apparently you can't use is the loops and arpeggios of the sounds, you would have to modify them, but it's stupid that you buy a synth and spend hundreds of dollars in sound expansions and you can't use them, but this is a business brother, I will use them anyway, and if they sue me I will fight it in court, because when you buy it online they should warn you about this whole thing, and they don't, so I will tell the judge that it is fraud and I will sue them for ripping off the musicians that just want to buy and use the sounds, what else do they want? My ass ? Bastards
@@chrissneider7550 with the amount of post processing i put on everything i could make a song using all of the Avenger factory presets and they'd have no idea. i should do it just to fuck with Vengeance. :]
One of the greatest disappointments imo. Purchased it immediately when it came out only to find out that it sounds flat, inflated and cold. Quite sad since the concept and the specs are really cool
