that comment about mousewheel could also be affecting, once in a while also my weapon changes for no reason, so far I always thought it is a bug, I still use mousewheel to change to machinegun or tribolt, I gotta now learn the correct bindings for those 2 weapons :-)

Anything that helps less experienced players feel more confident in game is a plus to me...I wish the community at large was more welcoming. I worked my way up from barely being able to get a kill to a decent player with next to no help...just hung in there and put the time in' watched some streamers and pro stuff for a bit. A couple players did give me tips here and there...shout out to Forsakn cause he is rrally the only one I can remember trying to help me improve. TheQueen streams were often helpful...she would often include movement tutorials and such. Rocket jumps, etc. I find playing a bit each day helps a lot...even if only a match or two. I am 2000 hours in and just recently started being top of my team in most matches in team play modes. I have a hard time with Clan Arena still cause nobody plays it on the servers near me so I dont get much experience playing it.

Camp with avek seem great. It could be done in many cities. No always 24/7. A 2-3 hours per day would also be great.

I always jusy remember that daying that it takes 10,000 hours to become a master of anything...I am 2000 hours in, and have only played ranger cause I still feel I am yet to master him.

there is MANY players in QC in the ranking list with more than 15.000 hours and stuck in rank 1000-1200 and im not make this up. and thats after the new balance.. so it was rank 600-700 players.. while ranks go up as high as 2500. every 100 point inncrediment is a BIG differnce.

From my experience aim trainers definitely improve my aim in game, especially when I learn new sensitivity or new mouse, and I think Serious playes A LOT of aim trainers actually, or for sure did play a lot of it in the past. But tbh I think he trains the heck out of it even today, his rail improved drastically in the last year, and I see no reason why it did that after so many years of playing competetively out of a sudden, other than he is training it hard in aim trainers. Also remember, that pro players are not saints or angels. They are normal people - and like normal people, some of them cheat, some of them lie etc etc. So do not take everything a pro player says for granted, cause maybe when they do something that actually gives them advantage over other pro players - they WILL NOT tell you about those things. Or they will even straight up lie about those advantages, so that you do not follow their path and improve. You guys said aim trainers have no influence for in-game aim - for me it is like saying, that training football or basketball has no influence on what players can do during the real game. When u are on the football training and u run with a ball around obstacles, or train penalty shots on empty goal without any goalkeeper there - how does it transfer to real game? In real game u have 2-3 defenders trying to kick you or even fall u to the ground, you have people from tribunes shouting at you that you are shit when you pass them by, you have TV cameras and millions people watching you, you have to constantly check where is your team and position of enemies, so that u can plan ur next move of passing the ball etc etc. Do you have any of these on training days when you just tackle with a ball around obstacles? No you don't. But u still go to the training, and repeat all those tackles, passes etc etc millions times, so that when the time comes, and when you have all those 20 other factors kicking in during the real game - you will tackle automatically without even thinking about it, so that your brain has capacity to calculate all other factors on the same time. Do you think Ronaldinho, Neymar, Messi, CR - they can do what they can do, all the tricks, all the magic, because they skipped trainings and only played during real games? Or went to training only to participate in "real game" scenario of the training time? :) I think they can do magic cause they spent COUNTLESS thousands of hours, just training alone and repeating move sets millions of time. Same as fighters train shadow boxing - they fight with noone, so why they even bother shadow boxing? Using your logic for aim training for real game, it has 0 sense in what they do. And yet, ALL professional athletes do this, ALL champions do this. Same is with aim trainers, yes, you have a lot more factors during real game, which you will not simulate during aim trainer session. But you learn A LOT of pure mechanical control of your mouse, you can learn how to set sensitivity in a way that suites you better, because you have professional analysis of what you have done in aim trainer session. You can clearly see for example, that 64% of shots u miss are the ones when u flick ur mouse to the left-bottom side of the corner of the screen. Aim trainer analyse ur every shot, and gives u such information. So you can detect your weaknesses, and work on them, in far more direct way than during normal gameplay. Maybe you will change sensitivity a bit to fix this? Maybe you will analyse your grip, and change something in the way ur holding the mouse? Or maybe in the way u are sitting, which makes u miss during this one move to the left-bottom more than when doing other directions moves etc etc. During real game, you can always say "it was ping", "it was lag", "it was this, it was that", or most probably u will not even notice this weakness, and you will not pay attention to this weakness of urs. In aim trainer, you have no excuses, nothing is disturbing you from aim in the best possible way u can aim. This is why it is so powerful tool in detecting weaknesses. And with correct scenario, it is equally powerfull tool to work on those weaknesses. Av3k said that trainers are not good, because bots are predictible and have patterns of dodging (which refers to tracking aim as I understand). But people don't have patterns to their dodge? :) I can assure you, that every single pro player in the word, no matter the game genre, has a pattern to everything he does. And not only in gaming, it is true to every sport, in how u play poker, etc etc, because people's brain works on patterns. Yes, you can force yourself into less pattern-like approach, you can mix things up to make your gameplay less predictable to the opponent, but at the end - you are still prone to play by patterns. Different people have different patterns, but we all have them. And most pros even base their whole gameplay style around those patterns, in terms of how they prefer to aim, which scenarios on the map they feel more comfortable with, which weapons are their strongest weapons etc etc - those are all patterns. And dodge works exactly the same, every person has stronger dodge-aim combo during certain scenarios, and during certain scenarios weaker. And people subconciously will play towards the patterns that give them best dodge-aim combo, they will play towards patterns that make them most comfortable and efficient. The only question is, if you can see those patterns - but the fact you cannot, does not man the pattern is not there. If you analyse the game of any player, pro or not pro, carefully enough - you will find patterns in everything they do. And one more thing - bots dodge patterns only apply to tracking aim. Flicking aim is just random dots appearing on the screen, yes, you can see some small patterns here and there with a lot of practice time, but those small patterns do not matter, you still have to do the flick, you still have to get neurons to work for correct move-force-speed applied to your mouse. If you have problems with tracking aim patterns - great, just change scenario. WHen u are familiar with patterns in all scenarios in trainer X - change to trainer Y, where u will have another few hundreds of scenarios with different patterns. By the time u learn and memorize all those patters, it will take u thousands of hours, and u aim will improve hugely. And last but not least - it is not the same improving from 30% lg to 45%, as improving from 45 to 50, or even 50 to 55. First can take u a year of aim training, second 4 years, and last can be beyond ur skill ceiling even if you would train a hundred years. So saying "aim trainer did nothing good to me, cause I trained for a whole month, and my aim pretty much not improved" can be very misleading. You can simply be close to ur skill ceiling before u even started to train in aim trainer, and you will have to put a whole year to improve by 1%. But if you would like to improve this 1% during playing duels - it would take u for example 10 years, or may be it would not be possible at all, because of how few actual fights u have during 10 minutes of duel. Not mentioning, that during normal gameplay u use different weapons depending on what u managed to collect, and in aim trainer u can focus 100% on anything you want to train. If you have possibility to for example play 1v1 sparring LG session with good player - that's for sure best way to practice tracking aim for game X. Cause u get this "Game X" speed, feeling, good dodge from good player, knockback from weapons etc etc, so all those specific things that are hard to mimick in aim trainer. So it is better than aim trainer for a particualr game in mind, but still, aim trainers will give you better analysis of your aim weaknesses, even to the point, that it shows weaknesses you did not realize you have. Statistics do not lie in this subject, and only aim trainers provide you with such statistics (it will be interesting to watch what will happen to future FPS games with AI taking over, who knows, maybe every future shooter game will have in-built aim trainers, analysing tools etc). But if you have only possibility to play duel - when aiming and fighting is actually like maybe 15% of the playing time if you count out rocket/plasma spam around corners - aim trainer where u aim 95% (counting restarting scenario) of ur play time, beats the shit out of duels in terms of aim training routine. This is also why ffa modes are so good to train aim - because u aim there for like 80% of the play time instead of duel's 15%, you just shoot all the time at random people jumping at you from all directions. But, in ffa pub games, you can have very bad players too, with very bad dodge, which is far worse aim training, than good and hard aim trainer scenario. Anyways, good luck with the academy to VengeuR!

Aim trainers are boring and unless I am pro or planning on it, I wouldnt waste my time even considering it. That time is better spent playing the game. The best way to learn how to use a hammer is to swing it.

@@vengeur I did miss it as i wasn't subscribed. To be fair, i just wrote what came to my head but i know you gave lots of advice for free and i applaud you for that. It's a problem of mine with the idea of "coaching", especially the mental and physical part. Nobody should listen to me that's for sure. If one wants to get better at quake you're one of the best. I pride myself in predicting that you would win the qpl that you've won. I've taught architectural drawing in the past and i gave away all my "secrets" and it was sad to see that people just gulped up technique with nothing to add by themselves. I firmly believe that if one wants to truly get better, the best way is to observe and learn by themselves. That being said, i do with you all the best and tons of clients, as long as you have time for yourself.
