Its ironic that in my home city of Manchester, a traditional industrial city in the north of England, I get get a better standard of coffee than in Italian cities like Venice and Bologna. We have a lot of specialist coffeeshops in Manchester now that serve light roast 3rd wave coffee that is of a very high standard. on the 1980s and 1990s most people in Manchester and the reat of the UK would just drink instant coffee at home which was of very low quality and now we have a better coffee scene than places in Italy, who would have believed that 30 years ago!

Aroma is great, if you're in Bologna do go and taste their coffee! Great staff, knowledgeable, entertaining. I'm Italian and theirs was the first espresso I had without sugar, and that says a lot about the quality imo!

Best coffee in Venice yes. But for me the coffee you liked in Croatia would come first. Next episode I guess? Stay warm and safe 🎉

I have been in caffe del doge before and did not like it. it's like an average italian cafe but with so many single origins dark roasted using grinders that seem not to be cleaned in years. I gotta visit aroma in Bologna! they seem very professionals!

Yeah that was a bit disappointing. Interesting how Venice is such a popular city and yet no specialty coffee shop yet, I’m pretty sure it would work well with all the tourists.. it’s about time, maybe in a few years. Aroma in Bologna is really a great place !!
