I will never forget the first time I went to Venice many years ago - taking the 2 hour plus train ride from Milan. When you step out off the train station and down the steps and see Venice for the first time - it is like a world you never could imagine.
Went through several walking tours with you. Like how you come back to the starting point. (Lisbon, Florence and Venice). Very smart. Also thank you for taking us to some places that we might not know/go as a tourist. Lots of good information. Thank you for making our lockdown period more enjoyable. It would even better if you can have a roadmap at the beginning or the end of the video.
I live in Venice, I'm Italian, I love this documentary, this type of video is the future, because you filmed all the travel, yes not in the church and the museum, but, it's very beautiful, 10/10, you filmed the venezianita to the people in other continent or country, very beautiful Clap
I hope to visit your beautiful city next June, if air travel is allowed. Around every corner is a new discovery; from every bridge is a view of elegance.
I have been to Venice four times but I realised I missed so many 'campos' as I did not walk the entire place and got lost a few times:) So thanks and appreciate this walking tour.
I love your videos - all of them. I just came across them today and already I have watched 3. You are a special person to give us these tours. May God bless all your efforts. the Venice one reminds me of when I played
I'm so happy to find this. We went on a ten day pilgrimage to Italy. We walked and walked. Our last day was in Venice. By that time, my feet had swollen up, I was lucky to get my shoes back on. We didn't do much walking here but did do the gondola ride and shopped.
It is hard to watch a video showing all the destructive graffiti all over a beautiful city. The people responsible should be found, made t opay for the repairs and then jailed for a minimum of 10 years. Only an idiot defaces a work of art.The city needs to get tough.
Thank you for this wonderful armchair travel, now no need to go there physically and dodge all the crowds. Thank goodness you are taller than average, don’t your arms get drained of blood carrying the camera? Keep up the good work, God bless you !
Next year I will go there if I visit Italy. Italian scientists influence me a lot. Italian Rome culture influences me a lot. I respect them: Scientists And Rome culture. Hope getting more from Italy next year.
I LOVE THIS!💕 It’s like being there, but without actually dealing with the crowds, and I can focus on the buildings, or the people, or whatever. And the information popping up is great. I’m hoping to actually visit Venice someday.
My experience was crowds are totally avoidable. Everyone is following signs or their phones to the Rialto and Saint Marks. Step off the main thoroughfares and it's shocking how quiet it can be. My friends and I spent huge chunks of the day totally or almost totally alone. Just ignore the maps and wander.
I have a brother in law who hates crowds. Sounds like you are the same. But it means you will never visit many of the historic monuments and buildings of the world. The planet is one big village and people come from all over the world to see the sights of Venice, Paris, London and others. Just forget the other people, and enjoy each moment like you were the only person there. Get up early when there's almost no one around and you have a city all to yourself. Give it a shot or you'll miss amazing places!
Thank you so much for this. I've been to Venice some two dozen times, and just walking aimlessly was one of my favorite things to do. I don't think that I will ever go again because the tourism is out of control.
Video made in June 2019, now on March 15, 2020 on live Venice video you might see 5 people walking around due to Convid-19. But, this is a nice video of Venice in normal times.
The rushing crowds you see are day trippers and most of them are from the cruise ships. The Venetians are not keen on them because they tend not to spend money on meals to linger over but are in a mad dash to get their trinkets and see a few things before heading back to the ship. The video shows a light day if you can imagine. I have been there when it was a struggle to get over a bridge. When we go we stay on the island but go to the Giudecca or the Lido for lunch and sight seeing to avoid them and return to the major sites when the hordes have returned to their ships. The city of Venice is rightly looking to charge the ships for unleashing these cruisers onto their city because they rarely spend enough to compensate for the trouble.
momredandjonny right my friend!!! venice unfortunatelly is an overcrowed city.... you want to visit and you will see for example thousands chinese and not only tourists {taking thousand photos in every corner,stone ....},,, waiting for hours to visit a church or museum.. or there no benches to sit ,,,all this for me is big problem, suffering {sorry for my poor english}
Thanks from Russia-Samara dear mister. We are little skimpy of sunshine at this time of the year and your videos is the only whiff i am can get with my giant samsung 4k screen - it is all you actually need to roam around with no care in the world. You are very adept at what you do - wish you the best in satiation us poor Russians covered with snow mixed with rain drops despondentness
Great trip !!! Thank you very much !! I felt like I was in Venice !!! I dream to visit it some day !!! I've been looking for a similar video for a long time .Super !
Loved the serene video, we miss Venice... had so much fun there I was hoping you'd walk by our favorite Hotel Colombina we had an beautiful view of Rio Del Palazzo. I saw a glimpse of you in one of the store reflection, inward looking at what you were using to record.. did you use a DJI camera or your phone with a gimbal. I can only imagine how many SD cards you carried to be able to record the whole thing in 4k. Looking forward to hopefully going back and I was talking to my wife about renting a flat there for the summer one of these years.
That was absolutely gorgeous and brilliant. Thanks so much for bringing back wonderful memories of Venice. Some new areas for me to check if I can ever get back there again.
I visited there two month atfer you took this video. I had a coffee in Florian(too expensive!) and rode the gondola. All thigns are amazing experinces. I miss Venice.
Non posso fare a meno di amare l'Italia... Thanks to your amazing video, I can always go to my favorite Venice. I appreciate it ! ✧˖° 58:41, I always listen to the bells of St. Mark's Basilica before going to sleep.
Awesome!! I actually use google map as I watched to see where you led me. I went to Venice & wanted to see the places I missed. Great Work, able to enjoy & read the streets names, because of the pace you filmed. Truly enjoyed it. Thank you.
Contd. (hit return too soon) Tomb raider it was such fun - maybe I will do it again but this time with a fuller idea of what Venice is like. thank you so much.
