Was there in May this year for 2 days. It is certainly a unique place. It has it's big negatives, but the positive parts will give you life long memories.
I have been in Venice. I could not believe that it was me. When I was a little girl I lived in small village in Russia. We were very poor. This girl did not know that someday she would see this treasure. Maybe you are like me many years ago and you just don't know that someday you will be able visit not only Venice but a lot of the greatest places. I wish you this one.
Italy is literally the most beautiful country I have ever seen every city is just absolutely gorgeous. Italians are so lucky to live there, plus Italian food is also the best in my opinion. I really want to go there some day but I'm a broke 21 year old living in Australia which is on the other side of the world so it's hella expensive at the moment.
Cheshire Cat ehhe I know, but Venice really is an expensive city, maybe one of the most expensive ones in Italy. There are other beautiful cities here that are unfortunately underrated but equally beautiful and less expensive as well.
Even if I live only 4 hours away, or less, I've been in Venice only once, when I was 11. I still have so vivid beautiful memories...35 years after. It's really a magical city where one loses track of time. This video is just perfect, I've seen it a zillion times...it may cause addiction :)
I was just about to say the same. It's a magical time where time just seems to stand still, it's like no other place on earth. I used to sit on the balcony in the early mornings and watch as boats went past carrying anything from food to hotels linen, from ambulances to hundreds of taxis. Go there more often Carlo, before it too gets taken over.
Venice I have to say is my most favorite place in Europe I've been to.. I cannot say it's the most beautiful but something about it is just absolutely breathtaking.. They say Paris is the city of love.. But Venice for me is the most romantic. And the fact that the city is built on water makes it the most unique. You'll never see anything like it in the world!
I just visited Venice and it was splendid. What the video has shown is 100 percent accurate. I fell in love with the city. Just be sure to go early and explore the little canals, its priceless.... :D
One of the best city of the world. Nevertheless, I suggest Venice in 4K (Around The World 4K) and Rome by bike (Yuri Palma), best 4K Italian city videos
For visitors that want a taste of authentic food while in Venice, my advice would be to stay away from the tourist strips close to the main train station, they are discount variety menus designed more like fast food pasta spots and not really indicative of the nuances you find in Italian cuisine.. Look for bars and restaurants closer to the University, and indulge in the tradition of having your heaviest meals at lunch (which is also the most reasonably priced meal of the day). The Guggenheim museum also has some of the simple, yet artfully prepared pastas in town and is great for a time out during lunch hours.
saqib shakil You should be able to find meatless options on any lunch menu without a problem. In a traditional Italian dinner restaurant, though- everything is served a la´carte- arriving in different courses and not on the same plate, so you can pick and choose courses without meat. On the "Antipasti" section of the menu you can look for a vegetarian appetizer. Look at the "Primi" section and choose from their pasta section. Skip the "Secondi" section as it contains meat selections. On the "Vereduri" section you can choose a vegetable. After that you are left with "Formaggi" (cheese) and "Dolci" desserts. Two courses are usually filling enough.
When I travel to a city like Venice, with its glorious past, I try to read a litle bit about its history in order to feel all its emotions. And for a person who is mad about history, I have to say Italy have a special place in my heart. Every piece of this country is extremily linked to a huge part of western culture.
Have you make it already? I went there the last year and i could not believe i made it to get there. It was indescribable! Seriosly, no words to describe it...
DETV I bet many muslims would rather live in their own countries. But how are they supposed to do that if their countries are occupied and ruined by western countries? So take some responsibility for that instead of spreading hate against muslims who have gone through many sufferings in the last century because of the greed of westerrn countries.
Muslims always blame others for their problems. I’m sure they did that also when they were invading and conquering lands for hundreds of years. Anything done to them today is karma
Yipyo1986 So you're saying killing muslims, invading their country and stealing their resources today is fine because they used to conquer countries hundreds of years ago? Firstly...the muslims weren't the only people who used to conquer countries. Pretty much any other empire used to do that. Secondly...even if we assume the muslims back then did some gruesome things...that doesn't mean the muslims of today deserve punishment for that. Such a thought process is quite unreasonable.
I would like to thank whoever made this. This is incredible! I honestly got convinced to change my destination this summer to Venice. You described it so perfectly, I can't wait to go there.
+Fadi Antwan We just completed 3 and a half weeks of shooting in Alaska! Once we review the footage we will see what Alaskan destinations we can show off.
+Abhinav srivastava indians are much black then Pakistan ok Pakistanis are not black just search just beautiful places in pakistan. than comment here .you shouldn't say like this about any country like this. I like india but i am Pakistani because i love mother earth
Hey guys, if any of you are interested, I recently uploaded my Venice video with some nice steady-cam shots on my channel, it's quite a whole new level of filmmaking for such an amazing piece of Art that is this place! I'm quite a regular youtuber and I post frequent videos from a lot of beautiful places, this has been one of my favorites :)
Pankaj Kumar Singh. I'm glad to hear that. I live 1 hour far from venice.. I've visited venice more times but is everytime a pleasure to return... This city is a unique place. Ciao from Italy :-)
@expedia you should do more italian cities like Milan, Naples and Palermo. You should also do regions like Tuscany, Sicily, and Calabria..... Italy is such a beautiful place so much to do there i love itQQ
Lucky enough to have visited this city. And, lucky enough to have visited most places in the worlds most beautiful country. Viva La Italia 🇺🇸❤️🇮🇹. I will return soon again, I promise.
I was there for three days in 10th March 2019, and it’s about 2 weeks that I visited there and still I want to go back to Venice. From the train gate to venice you just amazed by everything. Love that city 😍😍😍
I love this magical place. We were traversing the many narrow streets of Venice after a nighttime gondola ride without maps of course and ended up watching a Vivaldi musical performance in one of the opera houses. Every corner a surprise. One of the best trips I've had.
I am expecting to visit Venice in a few days, I am so excited. I will cherish every moment there and I am also looking forward to visit more Italian cities soon. Thanks for the presentation.Greetings from Romania
+Cade Del Rey Never been to Venice but would love to one day. Florence is beautiful. I've been twice! You won't regret it but I suggest to do both if you can.
I wouldn't just want to visit. My dream would be to settle down and live in Venice permanently. Venice is a city like no other. Its history if fascinating and its architecture outstanding.
After over forty years of travel, I can easily define my trip to Venice as MAGICAL. The video, and photographs don't do it justice. It was like the land of OZ. Jaw dropping gorgeous views are everywhere. Of any place in the world, this you must visit.
Mass tourism is killing Venice slowly, and I don't talk about the cruise ship witch represent an insult to this beautiful and unique city. I've been there 8 or 9 times and it's not the same any more. I say: if you like Venice don't go ! this is tough but necessary. I would add, don't be fouled by this nice video, this is Venice when the crowd is still sleeping, ACTV are fighting their way against gondolas on the grand canal, 100 m long queues to enter the Doges palace or the campanile, thousand of tourists in the main arteries, avoid the city from April to November, this is hell.
Excellent video! Love the fact that it was narrated by an Italian as I really appreciate the pronounciations of names of places etc. Will be in Venice on 16 April. Travelling from Cairns, Australia.
An amazing city. I just went there in August and it was a 3 days trip (😞😞😞). But I had an beautiful time. Expedia your video is perfect. Now I am checking all your videos. Great work!!
I was in Venice a few days ago and I do think it’s very beautiful, but it’s definitely overrated. The food is way too overpriced and it looks quite shabby in a lot of places. I think Verona and Salzburg are much nicer cities.
EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND THE PHOTOGRAPHY IS SUPERB, BUT THE GUY'S ACCENT WAS TOTALLY NOT NECESSARY AND MADE SOME PARTS VERY DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND. I KNOW ITALIANS WITH AN ACCENT BUT WITH MUCH BETTER DICTION AND PRONUNCIATION. IT WAS AFFECTED.
